I know wet dreams are super normal and all, but I just got my first one and Im 17 I dont get why since I jerk off almost everyday. My shorts are covered in cum and I dont even remember if I dreamed anything that would make me cum. Can anyone explain? Is there a way to avoid this? Can anyone tell me about their experiences with wet dreams or even their masturbation habits? Im really confused because I thought only guys that dont jerk off have wet dreams. Thanks

I really wouldn’t know. I masturbate everyday and now and then I get a sex dream not a wet dream I can feel it but there is no cum so you might have hyperspermia where you produce a huge amount of sperm

there isn't a way to 100% stop wet dreams, jerking off helps to not make it happen that often but it isn't 100% sure
So yeah, just clean it up and continue with your day, it is totally natural

I have never had one myself but you're not the first person to report having had one even despite having masturbated recently and doing so frequently.
The theory has often been put forward that wet dreams happen when you have built up so much semen that everything is full and that the body needs to get rid of some to make room for more but it is experiences like yours that prove is not as simple as that.
So, there is a general trend that those who masturbate frequently, or ejaculate some other way such as sex/blow jobs etc., are less likely to have wet dreams but there is no guarantee. Just as you have had one despite masturbating some people can abstain from masturbating for many weeks and still not have one.
It's a pity to end up with the mess without the accompanying pleasure but all you can do is clean up and carry on.

I used to get wet dreams about once/month, but I was told that was normal, I did only masturbate 2 or 3 times a week. Now I'm 20 and never have wet dreams and still masturbate about the same frequency. I think you're still young and in a year or two you won't be getting anymore wet dreams.

I am sure that you had a wet dream. You don't necessarily have to remember it. You may have been deep asleep. The only way I can see to stop it is to jerk off more.

U might try jacking more each day. I had one wet dream. The dream was about auto racing and nothing sexual. I jack now 1-2 times a day and have not had another wet dream since 13. If u jack closer to bedtime u would probably not have a wet dream.

I had a wet dream a few days ago. I don't remember what the dream was, just the mess on boxers. I am searching for information about the first sexual dream which lead this forum. thank you shared.

Wet dreams happen for me even though I wank everyday, even though most people say masturbation helps prevent them. I get them less often than I used to...maybe at least once a month.
Sometimes it's like I'm sleepwalking when I've had a wet dream and then I clean myself up and get a fresh pair of boxers out of the drawer. I'm still half asleep and I go into autopilot to clean my mess up. From what I've heard it's normal but it can be a worry.

You said that you jerk off "almost everyday". I believe that you may start jerking off everyday and maybe more than once per day and you will see if it help you. Try to jerk off as the last thing before sleep and I am sure that will keep wet dreams away.
