Parents not married

Hey!

My mum and dad weren't married when they had me (and split up soon after). I was wondering how many other people were in the same situation and do you think it has affected your life/state of mind/personality etc?

When I was a little kid I used to always wish I had a "normal" family but these days I don't really think about it as much at all so it doesn't bother me (at least not consiously)

How do other people feel about it?

My mom OD when I was 4 so I never knew here. My dad got married yesterday and now I'm happy to have a mom.

My mom and dad split up when I was really young. I really don’t remember much of when they lived together. But I always did wish I had a dad to live with to. I finally got that years later when I moved in with him. I’m glad I did. Don’t miss mom at all

My parents were never married and they must have had weird relationship since my Dad was about 16 when I was born and my Mom 20. She wanted to give me up for adoption but my Grandma took me and later then when he was older my Dad.

Sure I often wished I had a normal family but guess things are as they are.

My mum and dad never got married and they weren’t even like dating in a relationship. Mum got pregnant with me by accident but I think i grew up alright. Both of them care about me and they still remain as friends. I live with my mum and her boyfriend is about to move in. He’s been like a stepdad to me over the years.

my mom & dad where dating when i was conceived and upon my mother telling him she wouldn't abort me he left, and has bobbed in & out of my life ever since,did it affect me? well yeah, but i got over it eventually, and as of now idr care much for him*sruggs*
