It's something a lot of people do during their developmental phases. It may become more intimate or practiced as someone does it more regularly and gets used to it, so it wouldn't really be experimenting anymore, but I think 17 isn't too old.

Whilst it's true most experimentation or comparison is done in earlier stages of puberty I don't think there is any problem with it being done now.

You know what your intentions are and I do know people who didn't have the chance to compare at a younger ager and therefore want to do it when 17/18 or even older.

I am almost 15, but not sure why comparing at 17 would be weird. I think it's normal for us boys to want to see how we size up against our fellow species. lol

I still do it, it's still Normal for teens to want to do and some people start later than others with getting to do stuff and everyone is in different stages

Any age is okay. I can imagine even a couple of college boys, who room together, comparing their dicks. Interesting plus fun. Can lead to all kinds of activity as some of you know.

I don't think it matters if you have a friend and want to experiment a bit i see no harm in that. We are all curious creatures.

You're never too old or too young to compare, the last time I randomly compared with someone was when I was 18 last year.

I'm in my early teens and I compare. I don't think it is weird to do this at 17 but it may be less common. If you want to, it's your decision, so do it.

My personal experience is that this was pretty common when I was in 6th and 7th grade. The daring "I'll show you mine if...". That was often the dare that opened the door to more comparing, touching, and beyond (comparing erections, wanking together, wanking each other, etc.).
But that started to slow down and began feeling more awkward sometime in maybe late 8th grade, and by 9th grade (at my own school and neighborhood) it pretty much stopped happening, at least as openly. (Two boys, quietly and confidentially as close friends I'm sure still did this, but the openness of showing and touching and joking about it totally stopped by then.)

i used to do a lot of comparing in my early teen years, but now that I am 17 i dont do it as often, but it still happens between friends from time to time. I dont think 17 is too old.

I think that we really stopped comparing in 9th grade. Before that when we were starting puberty, I guy wants to see how he stacks up against other guys. We would mention when a guy started getting hair in the locker room and they would show it off. By 9th grade we discover girls, and most guys have matured, not saying you don't look at guys in the shower though.

I compared my penis with my friend at 16, so i don't think it's too old. You can do it monthly if u want to and your friend is ok with it
