What’s the difference between a protective cup and a foul protector? Also do you wear anything underneath or does it rub up against your junk?

I think protective cup and foul protector are the same thing. I wear just the jockstrap and ya you should never wear underwear with them. Sometimes if I am running and its cold out I might wear some loose compression over.

Foul protector goes over your shorts , it's used in boxing , kinda looks like a thick rubber briefs

Yea, I prefer a jock either the Bike or Duke brand. Never tried the shock doctor. Then again I don't need the type with a cup for gym. Just the jock is for support nice.

How do the coaches check if you have a cup on for pe? Btw I never wore one for pe but wish I did some days. Also what do you do if you forgot your? Do you just sit out for a day or do you borrow your bros? Also does anyone ever get their cups mixed up?

They don't check but at my gym there strongly recommended. Those of us who do a lot of sports , pretty much prefer to wear just a jock. Cups take a different like cup jock and you shouldn't wear for gym and non-contact sports. Just a jockstrap is best.

Support is the best. Just gotta find the right brand and size. They all vary some. Once you find one that fits , you'll never wear compression shorts again.

yea once you wear a jock for a few sports.. you get to where you like them a lot better than compression. Especially when its hot out like this and your doing your practice. Wearing one is soooo much cooler.

A cup is the hard plastic protective thing that goes over your junk - you'd wear that for like baseball or something where you might get hit.

A jock can be used to hold the cup - some jocks have a pouch where you slide the cup in, and it keeps it in place.

There are also just regular jocks that don't have a pouch for a cup. They're basically just elastic, and they fit tight to keep your junk from bouncing around when you run and stuff. Sometimes guys have to wear those kind for PE.

An athletic cup is a solid protector so you don't accidentally get hit in the balls. A jockstrap is like an underwear but the shape can hold your penis and balls

Yea, I only wear a cup if I have to, otherwise a Jock is pretty comfortable and still offers great protection for most sports. I sure can run a lot better wearing it vs. compression shorts and its not bad for long term wear. Cup no way.
