View Full Version : Bullshit reasons you've gotten in trouble

My mom and I just recently got into a huge fight because I didn't appreciate my birthday gift from my uncle enough and then I got grounded which lead to the fight.
Another reason and one that happened more recently is I got my phone and computer taken away because I didn't return a red box on time.

What are the most bullshit reason you've got in trouble for?

Lack of communication between
my Dad and I over friends and
grades but in the end I give in
cause its no use in arguing.

Not doing what I'm told or staying out really late or trading pictures with someone on Instagram , breaking a guys nose. ECT ECT ECT

Personally, I would agree with your parents here and I would agree with their punishment.

Oh, if I had to tell you all the times my mother has yelled at me for something stupid, I wouldn't be done by tomorrow.
Some reasons though:
- Not drinking the orange juice she made me without asking
- Missing la call (but she starts spam calling me anyway)
- Saying something mean to my sister even if it's a joke
- Asking her if I can walk from one place to another on my own
- Telling her I don't want my little girl cousin in my room cause she's annoying

-Wearing an “exposing t shirt” (it was cut down the sides so my ribs were showing a bit)
-Saying I might want to go do an assosciates instead of a bachelors bc my career choice can be either
-Not wanting to put a skin tag remover lotion on
-Not putting my laundry away the night before so my stepmom didn’t have access to the bag in the morning
-Not vacuuming/washing dishes within 5 mins of my stepmom asking
-Not agreeing with someone’s political opinion (my stepmom)
-Not wanting to eat/wear/bring something to someone or somewhere

Amongst many other things I’m probably forgetting

I think when I get in trouble if you’d actually call it that, I deserve it. But I don’t really get into trouble that much anymore.

But when I lived with my mom and or uncle, I’d get in trouble for waking up in the morning or using to much air in the room. Yelling or grounding usually wasn’t a result of it though.

When I fuck up, it's usually a good one so I pretty much deserve the grief I get.

Mine don't punish me because I never do anything to where I need to be punished. I just have a really good relationship with my parents, I don't fight or argue with them and I don't get into trouble with them. I'm sure they'd ground me if they had to, but they never have to punish me.
When I was younger they usually just had long talks with me or, if a punishment was needed, I'd usually have to stay in my room with no toys or something like that.

My Dad can freak out about tons of bullshit things but one of the weirdest I remember is that he completed lost it as I bought a "wrong" potato chips flavor.

It's none of your mom's business. And anyway, how can you not "appreciate" someone's gift enough? Maybe if you spit in their face and told them it sucked. Otherwise, she has no right to punish you for anything.

I don't get in trouble much. When I get yelled at, it's usually my dad yelling about irrelevant things or things I've said that he misinterprets. Recently he got mad when I said I would stay home while the rest of my family went out because what they were doing didn't apply to me and I had things to do. Just minor things like that.

I don't think your uncle siding either way influences any point into whether it's bullshit or not. It's disrespectful and down right ungrateful to not show gratitude. Your parents want you to learn a lesson on life. You get a present and show insufficient gratitude, some people beg for clean water for their birthday...

Being gay lol

My punishment was being told I’m going to hell and can’t have boys over, but my parents are flaky so I still do, but they just yell at me afterwards.

I've gotten into trouble a couple of times for breaking curfew when I was younger but I think my parents were right.

I sound like a douche for stating a fact you clearly didn't want to hear... I think your over reaction speaks for itself in upholding your 'bullshit' POV on this topic. But sure, that's fine, have fun!

Bad eating habits - junk food etc
Not having a wash
Not changing to clean undies to bed -sleeping with day clothes on
Sleeping all day
Not being active much- unwilling to go outside
Not wiping clean after pooping - resulting in skid marks in my briefs

So. My mom pretty much went off the deep end after her and my dad split up. She started going through a partying phase basically because she met this guy who was also a druggie. He was like 27 years old, had no job experience, and lived in his parents living room. He used to come to our house all the time and stay with us for hours on time because "his family didn't get him" At one point, he told my mom that I made him uncomfortable because I was a teenage girl. So what does my mom do? She tells me that anytime he was over I had to stay in my room. I couldn't use the bathroom, go to the kitchen, or anything. There was one time he was over for 48 hours straight so I was literally stuck in my room for 48 hours. I finally gave in and went to the bathroom and my mom yelled at me over text for disturbing her privacy. After that, we got into a huge argument which led me to cleaning the entire house because I was "plotting to ruin her life" because I wanted her "to be something she was not".

This actually happened a lot.

This is one of the many reasons me and my mom never got along after my 14th birthday.

My bro freaked out when he found me drinking Gin in my room with shotgun. Shotgun should be kept in gun locker and I should not be drinking gin. He did yell to me next morning a lots.

Also Bro hates that I hang around with 2 of my friends cause they are bad influence to me.
They are gays and neonazis.

One time, I forgot to bring lunch to school, so I told my teacher about it and then he said "I don't care just finish your math!". Another time, with the exact same teacher, one day I ended up playing with the "bad boys" of our class at lunch recess. The teacher yelled "Could you guys keep the racket down?!" from a window, so we hid behind one of the walls. We periodically peeked out from behind the wall at the teacher, and then we had to write a half page apology (and at this time, I had no idea why I got in trouble), and then we were banned from going to a field trip that year. It turns out he was mad because we peeked from behind a wall. That was not a fitting punishment!

Man that teacher sounds mean.

He was just really stressed. He was balding, he was nervous, and he was really shaky, despite having a 40-year-old looking face.
