The first difference in feels is before you cum because there is obvious a bit less sensation because of the rubber. When cumming, the thing I noticed is that the tip held the cum in contact with the head. Cum is warm when it cums out and you can feel that on any skin but the head is very sensitive at that point so it is really obvious.

As for being messy, not really - if you peel it off carefully the cum stays in it and you then need to dispose of it without allowing it to leak somewhere it will make a mess - tie it off and put in in the wastebasket/trash is the best way, not down the toilet as it can block that. There likely be a tiny amount left on the end of the head so you may still want to wipe that but it's not a big thing.
