I am "associated with" the Catholic Church because that is what my family is. We don't go to church regularly though so it isn't a big deal that my views are more protestant.

I find that when I study different religions I find a lot of connections between them. I think it is a lot more complicated than a certain religion being right and the other all wrong. For example, the Eastern religions are closely connected with several similarities and the same with the eastern faiths. They also cross each other in their beliefs of history. I just recently came across historic views that heavily ties Christianity to Hinduism.

My family are Christians with both sides split down the middle. My mums side are Catholic and my dads side Church of England. I was baptised Catholic but that was only so I could get into a good junior School as the best School near me was a Catholic School. If you were to ask what Religion I was I would say Christian instead of Catholic. If you really look at both forms of Christianity, there is very little between them. How and why did the Church of Engliand come about? Because King Henry VIII could not get permissioin from the Catholic church to devorce Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn so he set up a new church and made himself head of it. So because a man could not marry who he wanted he makes up a new religion just so he can. It was then Queen Elizabeth I that formed the Anglican Church
In my opinion the big difference between the two forms of Christianity is that Catholicism is more strict, they follow strict guardlines and rules. They have the seven sacraments and belief that Mary is the Holy mother. CofE dont follow this.
Beliefs & Traditions
Catholic priests must follow the vow of celibacy, which stands for the monks and nuns. As communication is followed by the tradition of Jesus turning water into wine, there is also the use of incense and bells ringing to proceed. Meanwhile, Anglican priests are allowed to marry. However, parishioners share the same symbolic act of communication with the fragrance and bells.
Leadership in the Church
The Church of England does not necessarily recognize a hierarchy that places one main church or priests above the rest. This means that each individual church has the freedom to decide on their policy. For the Catholic Church, the parish priests are at the bottom of the hierarchy with the bishops, archbishops, cardinals, and the Pope at the highest.

Conclusion
While both Anglican and Catholic churches share practical terms, the Communion is far from Catholic orthodoxy. However, the personal traditions may prevent the unification between the churches.

I was raised catholic. I was actually pretty into it from ages 16 to 17 and then I just had other interests (that conflicted with my religious beliefs). After spending a year as one of those die hard athiests, I was able to reflect upon the importance of religion. Morals, responsibility, love and all that good stuff. I now consider myself pantheist but religion and faith is an ongoing conversation between me and the big man upstairs.

As I wrote in this forum so many times before: Faith needs no proof.

Faith only requires a kinda passionate dedication to face your faith.

If you have the slightest doubt, you can't believe.

What makes at least 95% of all so-called believers hypocrites because people are doubters and too earthbound, as they wouldn't find differences between their real life and the learned faith anyway.

And all the time, they want evidence, or at least see signs, that rebuild and strengthens their faith. Who needs it, is a poor, lost soul and has never really believed in his life. Well, maybe as a kid.

So you have 2 options: You believe or you don't believe.

If you want to believe you've to connect yourself with your inner infantile self.
