Ok, might seem like an odd thread and I was not sure in which section to put it in, but they are genuine questions and I interested to know if you have been in a similar situation and what you would do.
I am going on a school trip, a week long residential trip known as PGL. Some of the activities are water activities, one is called coasteering which is basically cliff jumping around the coast.
On the kit list it says we have to wear a pair of trainers that can get wet (sneakers or tennis shoes for Americans)
Not crocs, sandals or flip flops as they will not stay on your feet whilst jumping and swimming.
I don't have an old pair of trainers, all mine are in really good condition, not brand new they are used just not old and worn out. I am not a sneaker head I just have some good shoes. I have
Nike air max 95, Nike air Huarache ultras, Nike air presto, Nike air zoom speed tr, Nike flyknit freerun 4.0, Adidas NMDs and Adidas ultra boost.
Please dont think I am bragging or showing off. I just don't know which pair I could wear that would be ok to get wet and not ruin them.
MY QUESTIONS ARE.
Have you been in a similar situation before?
Have you done water activities where your shoes have got completly soaked?
If so what trainers/sneakers did you wear?
Were they really old and worn out or in good condition?
Were you bothered about them getting wet?
How did you clean and dry them afterwards?
Did getting them wet, wreck and ruin them?
Do you think getting trainers/sneakers wet in general does ruin them?
Which pair of mine do you think I should wear?
