View Full Version : First Foreskin Retraction

Do you remember the first time you retracted your foreskin fully? I know is naturally separates during puberty and you might have full retracted after. But I started pulling gently at mine since 10. I'm 13 now. Eventually, pulling gently left 2 thin strands of flesh attaching the glans to the foreskin. One thin piece on the left side of the glans and the right side of the glans. One day when masturbating, the strands snapped without any pain. Did this happen to anyone else?

You shouldn’t pull on it if it doesn’t retract, it naturally will separate.

He means he could not fully retract cause 2 parts of his foreskin were still attached to his glans.
. One day when masturbating, the strands snapped without any pain.*
So when he masturbated the foreskin let loose of the glans.
See, I got foreskin and I know the feeling,
It happens to a lot of us uncut guys.
BUT THAT IS NO REASON TO GET OR SUGGEST GETTING CIRCUMCISED. OK?

Well I have been able to fully retract since I was 7. My doctor gently retracted my foreskin.

According to what I have read the foreskin is not fully separate from the glans when you are born - it is as if someone had glued them together hence that is referred to as adhesion.
I first retracted mine fully in early puberty when I suddenly became much more aware of my penis. I don't remember the exact age but maybe 11. At that time there was no adhesion between the foreskin and the glans.but it sounds like in your case there was just the last remnants of it.
That is not to be confused with the frenelum which is a piece of connective tissue on the bottom of your penis that is a bit like the bit under your tongue that anchors it to the bottom of your mouth. The frenelum does not disappear but then it doesn't stop you pulling the skin back at least far enough to expose all of the head.

You are born with your foreskin adhered to your glans. This is to protect the glans and penis from getting infected from urine and feces from wearing a diaper. This is also a good reason not to circumcise newborn babies. If a doctor makes the slightest slip up doing the circumcision it could damage and mutilate the penis and even cause death. I don't understand why parents and doctors take this risk. It's an other great reason that parents should wait and let their sons make their own decision about circumcision.
Also like the web address that ChaseDakoda posted in an other thread. This had a story of a mother that sat in on her son's circumcision and the horror and trauma she went through seeing her new born baby being strapped to a table and screaming in terror and fright and horror and to watch the horrific procedure. She said she would never circumcise an other son.

Thanks for clearing some things up but I feel like we should restrain from opening up the whole "circumcision is a comeplete gentalia multilation" fight here. I know I was confused when OP said the strands of flesh came off the glands but we can discuss this without bringing up that subject because it seem to pick a lot of fights.

Thank you, people just don't do there research.
I got a question, I watched a video of a baby getting circumcised, right after birth, how do they do it without damaging the glans?

My foreskin isn't that long and sort of bunches up under the head of my penis. My mom would tell me to make sure i pulled it back taking a bath to keep it clean. Seems like I could always pull it back

I really don't know. It would be something to Google or ask a doctor to explain. I know that it's considered a major procedure with lots of risks.

That never happened to me. I had other issues and got circumcised. And my future sons will also be circumcised.

I have never been able to pull back my foreskin. Unlike some of you that have said you started to pull it back when you were little, I didn't I was never told to or shown how to, so mine remained tight, very tight. I had to have it cut so now I am circumcised and its much better.

I was about 6 when I was first able to retract. I was somewhat relieved that it could look a little more like the other boys I had seen in changing rooms that were all cut. At the time I didn't know what circumcision was or why I looked different.
