i watched it and thought it was pretty good. it kinda close to where i live, but happened a long time before i was born.
it was strange that group of people who are seeking to find peace and enlightement use violence to get what they want.
what was really strange was that they harmed innocent people and kids with food posining. plus plotting to kill certain people they didn't like.

A friend of mine once said that fighting for peace is like having sex for virginity. You are doing the polar opposite of what you are trying to accomplish.

yeah, or like thinking if they murder all the bad people in the world then there will be no more murders.
then near the end the leaders decide to flee, including that one lady who even abandon her little kids to go with the crazy lady.

I haven’t seen it but all of you have peaked my curiosity.
If humanity doesn’t get its act together the Earth will eventually lose its ability to support life, especially for mammals of a certain biological complexity such as the homo sapien sapiens. (Us)
We’re our own biggest threat.

i didn't think i would like it. it was one of those things mom and dad made us watch instead of something fun on family movie night. but after watching the first part, kinda was good enough watch the whole thing.
there were lots of interesting things and i thought it was strange that even now that one lady that helped poison the town never seemed to think that was a bad idea, more like she was thinking the entire town was evil, so trying to poison them was OK because they were evil.... anyways, i just don't understand her thinking, even now a bzillion years later.

i don't want to tell ya all the good stuff, but i can say its like some people are very very smart, but also very very crazy. so smart they can fool lie detectors and the police, but so crazy they do very stupid things.

Basically Wild Wild Country is a Netflix original based on an Indian cult that bought a lot of land in a small town in Oregon and tried to move their religion base there. It is amazing how far they got and what that group accomplished. Not to put a positive light on a horrible and violent cult.

This has been on my list for a while. A speaker at an AA meeting did a whole thing and tied their talk into this documentary. I've also heard Joe Rogan discuss it with guests on his show so I'm excited to get to it soon.
