Once every month, my family and I go to a place where these religious people talk about our religion. They say that you’ll be depressed and miserable if you don’t believe and ‘surrender’ to our God. I don’t believe this. They say killing yourself means that you will suffer ten times more in your next life. I have been suicidal and am still depressed. They ask me if I agree in front of everyone in the room and so I had to say yes. I really don’t know what to do. It really annoys me that I’m being forced to believe this.

I was just bored so I made patterns on the screen of my phone, and I know that’s rude, but I get nervous in such social situations. My parents are so angry that I did that. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful but I was just so nervous!!

In certain situations, such as you described it, you can only be compelled to say, you believe.

But those who force you to do so know that they really don't accomplish anything with it. It's just show ... but may be also a later reason to blackmail you again.

In short, if you get involved in it, you are almost mental and emotional raped in front of ... and literally ... by a crowd.

Who calls that religion ... well, I better keep don't post what's really coming in my mind this very moment on this topic ... for the spiritual sake of those who would read this.

You aren't being forced to belief anything; you are forced to attend a event once a month. Keep that in mind. One event doesn't define your beliefs or who you are. Even if only to avoid future misery with your parents, don't use your phone.

Fair enough. I just really wish they respected the way I feel.
