So like nearly everyone in my school are either taken, say their taken or say their not interested in the stuff i'm interested in (Which is anime, manga, video games and YouTube). I want new ways to meet new potential significant others. I've only ever had 3 relationships, 2 were lack lustre and other was my best one but still only lasted 5 months due to the other moving. I start college in 4 months and i have communicated with the rest on my year and i think no-one i know is going to the college i'm going to so it will be a fresh start. When i talk to my circle of friends they all talk about their relationships and how well they are. I feel left out as when they ask me if i am in a relationship i just shrug it off. I don't know if this is the right way to go about this but now instead of meeting others at my school i just usually sit outside on my own reading manga, or study. I got told to do online dating but i am scared of all these articles that i see of child predators and that.

I really need help with this as i feel left out all of the time and i feel down and lonely, i am happy with all the friends i have but i have noticed because i dont have a GF they have distanced away quite a bit and say im "uncool", in a sarcastic way.

Thanks in advance VT, Ps

Just because u don't have a girlfriend
does not make u "uncool". If that is
what they think then they r not ur
friends. Once u get to college and
start fresh-make new friends. I'm
sure with these new friends u will
find a girl that will b interested in
u. First place is the college union
if there is one and new classmates.

I'm not speaking from any experience, but I would probably guess that finding clubs to join to fit your interests will be a good start in college. Find a video game/anime club and I'd guess that you'll be able to find a friend group.

Also, don't feel pressured to get into a relationship. There shouldn't be any burden on you that you HAVE to find someone. If you run into a girl that you want to be with, pursue her. Otherwise, I'd just go with the wind.
