Any suggestions on free photo editing software for Windows 10. I am going away on spring break soon. I am going on a cruise with parents, when I am bored on the ship I can edit my photos that I will be taking.

GIMP is the closest thing you can get to Photoshop for free and works pretty well

I regular use photoshop but if you'll spend some money you also can give corel photopaint, adobe photo photoshop elements or you just free online editors such as
https://pixlr.com/editor/

... a try.

For super basic things like shapes, I just use Microsoft Paint (Yes, I know that I could use better software). But I usually use PIXLR Editor (http://pixlr.com), which is a free photo editing software similar to Photoshop, it is browser based however it requires flash.
GIMP is also a good software.

Dealing with Gimp is a matter of habituation. Similar to Photoshop, there are an incredible number of sites on the Web, with a huge amount of tutorials, and there also forums that can help you, etc.
The choice of photo editor should be dependent on what you want to do with the editor.
Gimp is a semi-professional editor, with whom you can do more stuff than simply editing photos.
But you can also try PhotoFiltre, also a free program, which is more than just a simple program for image editing, even in its free version. It starts fast, also uses layers and above all it can use most of the photoshop plugins, which always is a good feature.
I didn't know PolarR, but I had a look at it's website and I think if you're looking for a way to fix your photos or quickly add some effects, you can try the free version. And the Pro version isn't such expensive - just under 20 Dollars.
