I used to be able to match pitch with high-pitched songs like Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees or Take on me by A-ha, but I just realized I can no longer match those notes. Sad, sad day. :(

I was thinking, "Yup, for this boy the changes are starting." But I see you list that you're 20? Your voice is just changing now? Or still changing so much so that you're noticing things like notes you can no longer reach?

Indeed something else I read suggested that, for most boys, the voice change is usually complete by about 15 or 16 so 20 is a bit late.

The BeeGee high parts are sung in falsetto and if you can sing that high after your voice has changed then the chances are you'd be using falsetto too. That's a way to sing - a skill - which most guys could learn though that doesn't mean they'd sound like Barry Gibb. If your falsetto suddently stops working it maybe your vocal chords are swollen for some reason - infection, like a cold, or maybe over-use, like too much shouting. Give it a week with no shouting and see if it changes.

Yeah I can sing falsetto still high but I was a bass in choir. Your voice changed from a child's to an adult's.

I used to be a member of a Glee Club and choir back in middle school. I remember this was a huger problem since I dropped to a range somewhere near tenor and baritone. I asked our teacher for some training and I improved my vocal range somewhat but its still nowhere near pre puberty levels.

Well I was always able to put my voice into a higher pitch an octave or two above my regular speaking voice. It's called "falsetto." Now, when I try and activate that part of my vocal range, nothing comes out, just breath.

Same thing is happening to me. It sucks, but I'm getting a deeper more manly voice so I guess that's good

It was smoking. I was at a friends house after smoking two Camel 99s and... too much weed. Bee Gees came on and when I tried to sing along, my voice was shot. Really should've thought it out more
