So I’ve been so worried about my body and upset that so many people call me precious so much recently and my lack of testosterone that I took a testosterone pill! I regretted it as soon as a did it. Will it hurt my body? What will happen to me besides what the bottle says? Will there be a negative side affect? Do you take it and are you good? I’m so worried. Thanks in advance

That can't be real testosterone. It must be some over the counter stuff that is supposed to boost testosterone production. I am pretty sure that it won't do any damage to you. The only way I know of to take real testosterone is by injections. Why are you so worried about your testosterone levels anyway. You are probably at the start of puberty. I am not sure cause you don't give your age.

I am 15 years old, it says it in my bio. I’m a sophomore and I’m one of the guys in my grade that aren’t as developed as the others guys even below my grade! So do you think it can help me?

Dont worry about it. This whole thing takes time, and the pill probably wont do much to either hurt or harm you. What exactly are you concerned about as well? (Not asking in a mean way, just curious)

Listen man, as far as I know the pills are over the counter and will only boost the production of it. Plus you took 1, nothing will happen suddenly so there is no need to worry. That said, do not pay attention to what does guys say, you must have a different body structure or shape than they do. Nothing is wrong with that, every guys grows differently and at their body's pace, so don't worry.

Dude--I wouldn't mess around with pills on yer own. Ask yer parents to take you to a doctor.

Taking one pill will not hurt you, and I agree with the person above is that what you had taken is one of those enhancer pills that old guys use to keep up an erection as opposed to actual testosterone. The actual testosterone comes by prescription from a doctor, and you would have to jump through a lot of hoops to get on such a prescription. I would not advise that you take the pills you had taken again.
As for your size, my guess is that you must be a sophomore in high school, and you are actually a lot more normal than you think. I remember there were a lot of guys who were your age in high school who were really small, but they shot up during their junior and senior year. I would wait until you are a junior to see what happens. If you are still small and feel that you are below your classmates, then I would talk to a doctor then to get a testosterone test. For the time being I would hold off because there's a lot of guys who start growing during the summer of their sophomore and junior years. Basically, just wait for the summer to pass because I think you might grow some. You are honestly fine, and I would not worry right now.

Don't take any kind of pills if u don't
know exactly what they r intended for.
Its best to check with a doctor if u feel
there is something wrong.

I think real testosterone given as a medication is really bad for guys that haven't finished puberty yet. Like, I think it does things like stop your growing (it seals your bones so thay don;t grow anymore, or something like that), and I think it shrinks your nuts too. I read that somewhere, but I don;t remember it real well.

most likely you took a testosterone enhancement/booster pill. It wont have any major effect on you because you only took one, but I wouldnt take anymore. Youre probably just a little behind on the development scale, but you arent the only one, so dont stress it. Your body will develop in its own time and at its own pace, dont try to rush it.

As many have mentioned I don't think it is a steroid. Granted you should not be taking pills if you do not know what they are going to do, but considering it is something you probably bought at a simple drug store or supplement store and the fact you only took one, I would not worry about it at all. If you are worried about the testosterone thing, talk to a doctor.

My best advice to you would the same as others here have said. Before taking any meds you should talk to your parent and then see a doctor.

The only way to be sure would be to ask your doctor. We had a guy in our class that at 17 still had a penis the size of a baby and not one sign of development except his height he was over 6' tall. I always felt so bad for him. No one ever teased him either I think we all felt bad for him. I still think you are just a late bloomer. I took my biggest penis and balls growth between 15-16 and I would think you should grow this year a lot too. If you are really concerned don't be embarrassed to ask your doctor if you are behind in puberty.

That is probably true. I am not sure, though, whether testosterone is normally given by injection because it would not survive the digestive system, and therefore a pill containing it would not be possible, or whether it is because it is an intramuscular injection for slow release over a period of time.
I think real testosterone given as a medication is really bad for guys that haven't finished puberty yet. Like, I think it does things like stop your growing (it seals your bones so thay grow anymore, or something like that)
Interestingly, it is oestrogen that both causes your bones to grow fast, i.e. the pubertal growth spurt, and for the growth plates to fuse thus finishing your growth. A proportion of the testosterone you produce gets converted to oestrogen - enough to make your bones grow but not (usually) enough to develop breasts.
So, a sustained high level of testosterone would, indirectly, accelerate your growth in the short term and stop you growing in the longer term. I don't think a short spike would have much effect, though.
and I think it shrinks your nuts too. I read that somewhere, but I don;t remember it real well.
This is because your testosterone level is subject to a negative feedback loop. The hypothalamus, part of the brain, measures the level of testosterone and adjusts its production of a hormone called GnRH (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonadotropin-releasing_hormone). If your testosterone level is too low it makes more GnRH and if it is too high it makes less. It's a bit like a thermostat controlling the heating. The GnRH acts on the pituitary gland, which is in your head close to the hypothalamus, and the pituitary makes two more hormones LH (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luteinizing_hormone) and FSH (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Follicle-stimulating_hormone) which stimulate your testes. LH causes them to make testosterone and testosterone along with FSH causes them to make sperm.
So, if you take extra testosterone beyond what you brain thinks is the right level it makes less GnRH, the pituitary makes less LH so your testes make less testosterone to get the level back to normal but because FSH is also reduced they also make fewer sperm. There are many organs where the body maintain only just enough mass for the amount of work to be done - muscles are an example. Work them and then bulk up, fail to use them and they reduce again. So it is with your testicles. Having less to do they will adjust their size down accordingly.

Possible Kallman Syndrome (https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/-syndrome/)?
This, i.e. when puberty doesn't appear to have started at all, is when the doctor would consider hormone therapy. If puberty has started but you're just a bit behind your peers, then he'll advise you to wait it out. Everyone gets there in the end and, as I said in another reply, as it not something we work at and is out of our control there is no need for early developers to feel superior or late developers to feel inferior.

You definitely should talk to your doctor and parents first and also because you seem to young to be taking them. One shouldn't do anything big but again you wouldn't be trying on your own like that

The question is where did you get the pill in the first place? Testosterone is very hard to get in its concentrated form and most pills are supplements. Regarding steroids since I have bad skin after puberty , I constantly visit a dermatologist and most medication have steroids in them but are usually prescription based and needs parental consent. I have a feeling you just ate a food supplement though.

It dont think that something so easily obtainable would be dangerous in any way, especially in such a small dose. I cant reallt say for sure tho im not really a doctor
