I’m a sophomore and i’m homeschooled. When I was in public school i had tons of friends and now I don’t have one. Where do you make friends when you’re homeschooled? I’m not in any sports or anything of the sorts. All I do now is play fortnite and eat food. I need a social life but like I don’t even know where to start... any suggestions?

If u stay at home all day u r not going to
meet and make friends. They r not going to
come to u. Check to c if there r any youth
related clubs in ur area through church or
regular school. Maybe there r hobby clubs
something u take an interest in. There may
be some homeschooling groups in ur area
that meet to get to know each other. U can
b able to Google them.

Okay, this may be in direct contradiction to the previous reply and I don't disagree with him, but can't you make friends with the people you meet on fortnite? Idk, do you use an xbox or something else?

ska8er makes a ggod point. I have seen things on the tv about home schooled kids and how there are groups of parents that get together so their kids can associate and make friends. That might be something you want to investigate on your own or talk to your parents about.

Yeah that's a really good point and I totally agree, but it's not the same as non virtual friends but its a start

Yeah, I have a lot of online friends because of xbox but it’s not the same they all live really far away.

That is the biggest problem with home schooling is no social life. You need to learn social skills as well as basic education. If you aren't prepared to go out into the big world and all of it's ups and downs that is essential to learn too. Why were you taken out of public school and started to be home schooled? If you would prefer going back I would talk to your parents and tell them you really miss having friends and being involved in school activities. I really don't know what else to say. You could try church and public groups to belong to but to me public school is the best all around way to learn all skills and learning.
