This is my first post here, sorry if I do anything wrong.

There's this cute blonde at my school and since last year, she began to check me out. She never says anything to me, she just looks at me. I would like to start talking to her but she happens to be friends with my ex-girlfriend, who is always guarding her. My guy friend, who is the blonde's friend, tells me she's single. Any ideas on how to approach her without getting near my ex? Or is all hope lost and I should move on?

I dont think its a good idea if your ex is friends with the girl you like because it could cause a rift between your ex and her friend, and you and your ex and it would just be one nasty triangle of animosity.

Oh god, this reminds me of a bad situation a guy friend ended up because his girlfirend's best friend was... My ex.

While it is unfortunate that your ex is acting so immaturely, but unless this girl and your ex are attached at the hip there should be opportunities for you to talk to her without your ex being included.

But that isn't anything you didn't previously know. My guess is that you are looking for an excuse as to why you haven't already talked to her. Just do it! I wish I had a girl to go for right now. Look, if you don't do anything you don't get her. If she rejects you, you don't get her. If she likes you, your good.
