Well if you can afford them, you can wear whatever you want to wear (assuming your school does not have a dress code). Seriously, don't not wear something because someone else may not think it is cool.

I think theyre originally made for farmers so guys wore them all the time. I dont know how they got to be fashionable but it seems its more a girls thing to wear? But wear them if you want! Ive worn them before and they feel good and I liked how they look too.
