Changing in front of dad at gym

Hi, so recently my family and i have joined a gym. my dad hasn’t gone yet but today he is. there is only a male and female changing room. there are no rooms to change in just one big room and you change in front of everyone. i’ve been changing in front of everyone but since my dad is going today i’m gonna have to change in front of him. what do i do? i’m 14 and gay and if he sees my boner he will get mad.

Well I mean you could just turn away. I think he should understand... you are old enough to get some privacy and you are at "the awkward stage of puberty" when "boys and girls are SUPER shy about their body", so I'd think that he would understand you.
I'd also suggest going to more of a corner of the changing room so it's not like you are showing off to the whole gym rather that your dad.
Another tip is trying to not get a boner. Just don't look around too much, think of something that turns you off, touch your penis as little as you can...

Just change and see it as a lesson, getting a little bit more mature everytime you do it in gym. Also there may be other male units in that locker room too.

But if your dad gets mad, stand for yourself and ask him why he acts like that. After all, it's not your fault that you've more testosterone in you than he'll ever have again. So tell him to blame nature instead and to man up by meeting the facts of puberty you've to deal with everyday. He once was there too.

It's not like your dad hasn't seen you naked before.
He likely spent the first two years of your life drying you off down there, cleaning up your baby poop, changing your diaper, and giving you baths. Then, he probably taught you how to wipe your butt and how to pee standing up. So, seeing you naked now will be no big deal for him. Don't let it bother you. If you're still not comfortable, just change with your back toward him.

This. I have been either at the gym or situations where I have changed in front of my dad, a lot of guys do and it is really no big deal. He is your dad it is not like he is going to sit there and stare at you. He is there to change as well.

Also, like Jamie also stated, it is best to try not to get too intense in a locker room. I know it can be hard when you see guys you find attractive in their underwear or naked, but try for the most part to focus on getting clean and dressed and not think of it sexually.
