I am not trying to sound like a woman hater I just have a question.
Does American society protect women from the results of their actions way too much?
Reason I am asking this is after an incident that happened this morning some friends and I are debating that.
Any my freinds and I where out at a park this morning and i'm standing in one spot mot moving and a woman bumps into me and despite there being me friends and lots of others there she starts blaming me for her bumping into me,and calling me names and starts ranting about how shes gonna kick my ass,I duck side step and parry her punches and when she throws a kick at me I catch her foot and put her on her butt, suddenly people that saw that got al upset with me claiming I hit a woman when I did that.
After that my friends and I have debated Does American society protect women from the results of their actions way too much?
Some of my friends that are girls said is a woman wants t hit a man over something like that then she just put herself in a man's place and should get what she deserves!
naturally some of my guy friends went to crowing on and on about a real man never hits a woman no matter what!

In some cases I guess yes.

I'd say in this case, heck yeah. It bothers me when feminists try to use feminism as some sort of privilege when feminism is SUPPOSED to be for EQUAL rights.
If I threatened to hit a guy, and started going after, I'd damn well expect him to fight back. Unless he didn't want to fight in general, in which case I probably wouldn't have the heart to do it in the first place.

I'm all for equal rights myself, but not for standing around with my hand sin my pockets like a spineless wiener all based on the gender of the person acting like a idiot toward me.
And I still don't see how some people got a hit out of me simply grabbing her foot and dumping her on her bum!! 0_0

Agreed. It's one thing when women are harassed or something, for being women. It's another thing when they act like they're special. That's not equal rights, that's privilege.

True.
One of my friends that's a girl likes figuring out which girls are actlike like they are privileged and telling them off and basically telling them that having boobs does not make them so special that they are still as human as anyone else!

Ah radical feminism, how thy is a stain on society.
Good on her. Radical feminists need to be shut down just as much as misogynists.

If she threatened me or hit me like that, I would ask her is she doing that because I can't fight back. That works on all girls which wanted to hit me for no apparent reason, joke or seriously, plus it shows you are a gentleman.

I'm sorry but there's something really wrong with this whole thing.
A feminist would argue that you'd have the right to use the same degree of force as you would on a man against a woman.
naturally some of my guy friends went to crowing on and on about a real man never hits a woman no matter what!
This is sexism.
I guess one could call it 'positive' sexism, but it's still sexism; the same sort of sexism that has resulted in woman being debarred from combat-roles in the armed-forces.

Excellent way to put it.
And well, a TRUE feminist would, but feminism seems to have lost its original meaning somewhere down the line. Radical feminists everywhere, thinking that feminism means promoting misandry and ignoring men and transpeople.
So naturally everyone thinks it's the moral high ground to be AGAINST feminism now.

The sexist social concept that women are incapable of being powerful or having agency works both for and against us. I won't be taken as seriously as you in certain fields of work, but I can get away with a lot more than you can because nobody thinks I'm capable of being anything but a sweet, innocent little doormat.
It's not just American society. Every society does it.

To answer OP's question: no. America doesn't really protect women from their actions all that much. There are double-standards all over the place, in favor of both men and women. In general, though, men tend to benefit more frequently. Sexual promiscuity, career, and rape are just a few situations in which men tend to benefit and women tend to suffer.
Personally, I think double standards are all stupid. But then again, I just live here.
