What carrier do you use for your mobile phone in the United States? I'm just about fed up with AT&T and I can't afford the $60 unlimited plan.
I was leaning towards T-Mobile or Sprint, but I've heard mixed reviews on both. I spend a lot of time on the road and not around Wi-Fi hotspots, so I definitely need something with unlimited data.

Depends where you are.

Check each retailer's coverage map.

My family switches a lot.
Verizon is the best but they charge a premium.

Sprint has the best sweet spot for the money and coverage.

The problem with companies like cricket, ting, and straight talk, is that yes it's cheaper, but you get a lower priority status on your signal.

The same cell phone towers are used in all of cellular infrastructure across the country....but there are algorithmic programing differences....fast lane slow lane.

So beware.

Verizon is good, but I know their unlimited plan is a killer. I don't have unlimited data because it's so expensive with them, and just that I personally don't need it.

I think a good first step is to actually look at your phone statistics and see how much data use a month.
