alright so i just joined a ymca and i’ve been going swimming and working out there. there is no changing rooms so i’ve just been changing naked like other guys. but i’ve been getting boners in front of everyone. i keep looking at everyone’s dicks too and i can’t help it and people keep looking at mine lmao. i’m gay and i’m fully aware but how can i control the erections?

Well you end up just getting used to it man, because it's pretty normal, even for straight guys. But you can always think lf stuff that can make it go down haha. Like Idk try thinking of math or something.

None of us is in an 'erectile state' constantly. So I think you just need to time the end of your exercising or swimming to a time when you're not erect, and then just change as quickly as you can in the locker room. And, choose a corner location in the locker room where you can have your back to everyone in case you do start to swell up while changing. Showers at the "Y" might not be a possibility.
But be honest. Do you get erections in there because you're aroused by seeing the other naked guys? If that's the case, then I think you just have to decide what is your intent when you go to the locker room. Shower and change, or see naked guys?

well sometimes you are going to get them regardless,but the more you shower naked at the gym (whether at school, the y, where ever) the more you get comfortable doing it, the more likely the boners will go down. Try to think of it as a non-sexual situation as much as possible. I know I def seen guys who I thought were attractive naked, esp in high school when I would shower. But, I did my best to always think of the locker room and shower as a place to get clean and get dressed like scott2002 mentioned. Because it was. I was there to get showered and get dressed and they were there for that same reason as well. Yes I saw people naked and in their underwear, yes people saw me, it happens in a locker room. Do your best not to stare. You can't help seeing people it will happen. Sometimes people will even choose to talk to you (not all like it, but some do) and if you do, that's ok. but just remember why you are there: to get ready to work out and when your done, to shower and get dressed for the remainder of your day.

It seems like it might be a free for all in the locker room you're using, at least as you described it. If everyone is freely looking at each other and everyone is naked, it could be difficult to not get a boner. If that's the case, why worry about getting hard? It doesn't seem to matter. Or, like others have said, just go in and get dressed quickly without checking the other guys out.

I don't think you can control when you get a boner. It seems like they pop up whenever they want to and there isn't much you can do about it. Try to think about something that you hate doing and that might help. Or like others have said, try to get dressed quickly so you 't have to time to get one

I never heard of a YMCA without a locker room to change in. We all change and shower naked together. You will get used to the nudity and it's ok to look around and compare. Boners happen to anyone occasionally so it is not a big deal.

haha I don't like it when I am pissing so much, but I will talk to guys in the locker room. I usually don't face them and have long convos when they're naked, but if they say hey or making passing comments, whatever. obviously, to me at least, it is not a big deal if one is in their underwear (I certainly don't have a problem with it anyways). even then though, while I am not afraid to talk to others, I also don't treat it as a social club either haha

I agree with Kevin. Being nude in the lockers in PE, at the Y, and recreation center is normal. At first you may be intimidated. But the more you go to those places you will get used to it.

It is sort of weird at first to get used to the changing naked thing. Eventually it just becomes "normal". Just go in, do what you need to do to get showered/changed and get out.

Yeah you will get use to it and they should stop. Are other people getting boners or just you? I don't have this prob when I am at the Y but I seen guys with semi. As long as they are not being creepy everyone ignores it. Take cold showers and maybe try avoiding being in the lockerroom for long periods of time until your body is more use to being naked around others.
