Where is the hole of my vagina?

Okay so I can't find the hole lol. I wanted to try tampons yesterday but couldn't insert the tampon because I couldn't find the hole 😞 I grabbed a mirror and everything. It seemed like my hymen was blocking it. Or whatever it was. It's pink and fleshy. I poked around it but didn't find anything. I don't know what the problem is.

If you think your hymen is an issue, you should see a doctor. It should not cover so much of the vaginal opening that you can't get a tampon in.

It's the opening below the urethra (where you pee from) and clitoris and above the anus, right in between the labia minora. Have you tried looking at any diagrams?

that does not sound sanitary at all and more then a lil gross. why shouldn't she just use a mirror you can see both holes that way i dont think its safe to cover the ureatha at all much less touch it with your dirty fingers....umm uti much

The hymen could be an issue, for most women it shouldn’t cover all of the vaginal opening but there exist cases where sometimes the skin does seal off more than normal, yet drains enough for successful periods.

Google has medical images of various types of hymens in fact everyone here should google search “different types of hymens”, the image comes up right away.


Also understand inserting something up the vagina is not directly parallel, there’s like a 30 degree angle to insert things up there most comfortably & successfully.


But on the off-chance you do have a hymen that is making this process difficult please consult your doctor and they can help. If it doesn’t work don’t force it.

I agree with Anna May. One time might not be a problem but there are other ways to find the right place without urinating on your hand. If you know where your anus is, move your finger forward toward your belly button. You’ll find a 1/4 inch piece of skin. This is called your peranium. It separates your anus and vaginal opening. The next hole you come to is your vagina.

I agree with Annay May and Tayler as well. I dont know if holding your pee in your hand and stopping your flow is the best idea. There are lots of pictures and things onilne so you can find a good diagram there. Also try using a mirror again with the diagram at the same time.

You could also ask a trusted friend or somebody if youre not sure but they have to be trusted. Its a whole different kind of option but doable.
