Probably last time I slept in my parents bed I was around 10. Even that would've been rare. I was either dick or scared. Rarely in the summer or on break me and my siblings may fall asleep on the couch together watching tv and we will be like sharing a blanket or something. But again that's rare. I may be talking to my sisters bed late at night so I know what you mean about being close to siblings and talking late but I don't get why you have to be under covers to do that.

I don't have brothers or sisters. There have been a couple of occasions traveling where my dad and me may have had to sleep in the same bed because of lack of space or whatever, but other then that, I have not slept with my parents since I was a super young child. Many times even if I woke up scared or sick when I was younger my parents would make sure I am ok, but then go back to sleep. the older I got, obviously the less I would have wanted to do it anyways haha

I've slept with both my two younger brothers (5 and 10) and my younger sister (7). I do it with one of them about once a week. We do it cause it feels nice to be closer to them.

I will have to sleep with my little brother occasionally for space reasons. And on occasion, he would crawl into my bed but he has outgrown that.
And I don't see anything wrong if siblings sleep together. I guess it's kinda cool that they feel close enough to do it.

I've shared beds with both of my parents on many occasions before. I was a nervous child and often had nightmares if/when I slept alone. As I got older, I pretty much only shared beds with my parents (mostly my mother) when necessary. I've also on the rare occasion shared a bed with female cousins or one of my aunts out of necessity, but my younger cousin kicks, lol. So I try to avoid that.

I have no siblings, either.

No siblings but when my foster brother was with us it was pretty regular he’d climb into bed with me. Was nice, we were close
And I’ve slept with my mom and Dad plenty of times. Mostly when it’s a space thing but it doesn’t bother me at all.
I actually like it

Unless you count camping where we are all in the same tent (but our own sleeping bags) I have never slept with my parents in their bed.
I slept with my sister until she turned ten and then my parents said that was no longer allowed. (I think she got her period for the first time around that age)

I have never done so except on one occasion. I have had to sleep on the same bed with my dad when we were staying at a hotel. They only had one bed rooms available. It wasn’t too weird because I slept in the opposite direction, so my head would have been laying where my dad’s feet were. It was only for one night.

My little brother (6) sometimes late at night will come get in bed with me like if he's had a bad dream or something and wants to be held. I have to keep a shirt close by when he does that because I usually sleep topless. When we were little I'm sure I may have slept in the same bed with my older brother...he's two years older than I am. And, I think at some point all of us had slept with our parents.

My nephew and i are close in age and there are times we sleep in the same bed

That's soooo weird when my friends have neices and nephews who are their age (or even older). I don't have many relatives so I don't have any nieces/nephews yet. But I know you are not alone. I know it's fairly common. I just have cousins roughly my age. But we aren't very close.

OT: I think I've already answered this but in case not, it's very very rare when I sleep with family members. It's been years since I slept in my parents bed. Only times when I fall asleep in my siblings bed is if we are watching a movie in one of our rooms. Also sometimes on vacation when sharing a bed in hotels.

For me, the only times have been with my little brother, sometimes due to lack of beds or when he had trouble sleeping at night (i.e. nightmare, etc.), but it's been a long time since we slept together. It mostly happened when we were kids, the last time for me I think was when I was in early high school.

I shared a bedroom, and a double bed, with my big sis who is 18 for most of my life, we only got separate beds a couple of years ago. I just turned 15 last month.

Recently my parents built an addition onto the house adding an extra bedroom for them, and my sis took their old room leaving me having our room to myself. It worked out very well for us to be together all those years and I wouldn't change anything about it. Honestly, I miss being in bed with her or in the same room, and am thinking about asking if we can go back to sharing again.

I have also slept with my little brother who is transgendered and now my sister, we did this quite a few times over the years. She is currently 11 and the last time I slept in her bed with her was about a week ago, at her request. She wanted some cuddle time together and to talk about things concerning her sexuality and how things were going with transitioning to being a girl.

Several times while traveling with my parents or just with one of them I have slept in bed with my mom or my dad or both together. I haven't been in bed with both of them together for maybe two years at home though.

I pretty much think that within a family if people are respectful it doesn't matter at all who you sleep with, but it's best if you have to share with a sibling that it's a long term arrangement.

My brother and I shared a room until we were 10. After that, we all sleep in separate rooms, always, except for when we stay in a hotel during holidays. Privacy is bliss.

For me it means in the same room, and in the same bed. It is not usually intended to be sexual in any way, you are merely sharing a bed because it's either the most convenient or the only workable arrangement.

Mostly just vacationing in hotels these days. Just spent 4 days sharing a bed with my brother. Sisters shared a bed in the same room. It was the first time I ever slept with a sibling (or anyone) naked besides my gf. I can't fall asleep with clothes on anymore. Occasionally I can if I am super tired but it takes me hours. In January I shared a bed with my dad in a hotel and I was just laying there for over 4 hours. My siblings still don't know that I have to sleep naked. I don't want them to know I do it nightly (they may know) but we were already naked before we went to bed so we stayed that way.

Are the hotel rooms so expensive in the USA that 2 people have to share a bed? In the holidays with my parents I had my own room and my parents hers.
I can not imagine anything else.

Yes, hotel rooms are like $100 or more a night unless you want to go to a place that you would be afraid to stay at because it's sorta junky and not well maintained. In big cities like Chicago and New York you might be lucky to find one that's much less than $200 a night. Even at big family oriented resorts like Disney World, the rooms are very expensive and none have more than two beds unless you can afford a condo type accommodation that costs more but gives more than one bedroom. Not too many families can spend the extra money for that, so we are all used to crowding into one room.

Most ordinary hotels will usually let you put as many as 6 or 7 people in one room if some of them are kids, how you figure out who sleeps with who is up to you, but for an extra fee they will put a cot in your room. Lots of families with smaller kids use a sleeping bag on the floor for one or two of them if there isn't room in the beds for everyone.

Almost no one gets two hotel rooms while their family is traveling especially if it is for more than one night.

Yes and no. Hotels are almost always over $100 to start with. Many are around $200. The difference between a hotel with 1 bed and 2 beds are not much tbh. But with 6 people in my family, the difference between 3 rooms and 2 rooms is about $200 per night. Four nights of that is $800. But last time me and my dad were in a hotel together sharing a bed it was bc 1 beds were all they had left. The whole town was booked up practically. We were lucky to get it or we woulda been sleeping in the car. Dad woulda paid the exrtra money (idk if it's $20-40 extra for another bed) but it wasn't available.

I have a big family so we have to share as well sometimes. It's to expensive to always get an extra room and it's not like we're in the room for long anyway right? But things can get tense and can't expect as much privacy as home. Some embarrassment for sure!

parents? No
brothers? Don’t have any
brothers
sisters? Yes
sisters ages? 7 and 12
other - my freinds
reason why? when my little sister who is 7 has nightmares she trusts me and comes to me to sleep with me. Both sisters when we’re in a hotel room or camping. My freinds I slept with ok school trips in hotel rooms.

Opinions: I don’t mind it is a cost and space saver and It’s good my little sister trusts me so i like it when she comes to me when she has a problem of any kind I like that she looks up to me I think I’m a good role model for her. I like sleeping with my freinds...sometimes it can get pretty tense

I sleep naked so when my little sister has a bad dream she will knock on the door I lock it for this reason and I have to have panties and a shirt close by in case this happens

For me it means in the same room, and in the same bed. It is not usually intended to be sexual in any way, you are merely sharing a bed because it's either the most convenient or the only workable arrangement.

I shared a bedroom with my brother when we were little. Separate single beds though

Yes still sometimes share with my bro if space is needed or when travelling we usually do
I don’t mind, it’s fun

My little bro and i have shared before, like when he would have nightmares he would get in bed with me. he doesn't do that as much anymore. but when we go on trips like to aunts house we share a bed. we both sleep in our briefs so not naked haha

One word - Gross

Kelly, what is "gross"? My little brother who just turned 7 used to run into my room in the middle of the night after a bad dream and cuddle up next to me to fall back asleep. There's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING sexual about that. He doesn't do that so much any more, but when he was a little guy, he'd often end up in my bed. I thought it was sweet and he's so cute :)

I agree. Yep, he is a little Sweetie. I actually kinda' miss him snuggling up next to me but he says he's a "big boy" now and he doesn't want to share the bed with me. Of course, he still does cuddle up with me sometimes and I love it :)

My 3 year old little brother does the samething. Sometimes I also find him sleeping on my bedroom floor, why I have no clue. I hear him come in and whimper and I pick him up and put in bed with me and then he's a happy little man.

Is confronting him and just telling him your thoughts...something your sacred to do?

It is scary
I don’t want the confrontation especially now he’s in trouble as it is over something else
I just felt rushed into a lot of things because of him
I only just turned 13, they’re too big

Just a soft word, or even write down how you feel and give it to him. U should not feel pressured into anything

I think he knows I’ll punch him in the mouth if he tries anything else
I just don’t want it to come to that
Now he’s grounded he’s going from constant wild stuff with his gf to absolute zero
Just don’t want him thinking I’m an option or that I even want to be around him at the moment

Tessa, is this your own brother? If so, something is not right with him. I have two brothers and I'm not at all attracted to them and they're not at all attracted to me. Even when we see each other nude there is absolutely NOTHING going on in our minds about each other.

Hi

People here are helping me deal with it, they’ve been great
It’s so complicated I think my brain will snap sometimes. :(

If your parents won't help you with this it is way past time to contact the police and CPS.

I could I just don’t want to if I don’t have to
I’m not in the USA anymore so don’t really have those options

Can you try and talk to him when your parents are homes? That way if things get out of hand...you got someone there. :/

Oh man :( I'm so very sorry. It's his loss for not trying to get this solved. I wish I could help...But for what it's worth....merry Christmas and I hope things get better...and he comes around. Fingers crossed:)

So it has been a very long time since sleeping with mom and dad and it was rare then. My younger brother and cousin who lives next door have ended up in my bed more often. We hang out in my “party central” room. What happens when you have the flatscreen and Xbox in your crib.
