Anyone here a fan of reading about greek, roman, norse or any other mythologies? I am absolutely fascinated about them. I've read books modernizing them, mostly Rick Riordan's works. I've also read an adaptation of the Iliad and the Odyssey. Though I research about them and their original stories. I've also read The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, which is truly heartbreaking.

Simply love it. Mythology opens the broader span of my mind and makes me wonder what can or could be true or how true were the stories of these mythical people and creatures. I tend to try to make sense of what is behind the story or what the actual story teller saw when he described those in mythology. What type of people r Medusa types or Medusans. Who from looking at them turn u to stone. My thought that there r people who have been known to be stone hearted or stone faced or glares that are so cold they remind one of stones. Cyclops are one sighted people who can only see through a telescopic one sided view and not be able to see the broader span of things. Hercules or Herculean people r full of strength inner and outer and withstand all that life throws their way. Mythology has much more to do with modern times than we suspect or want to accept.

I guess I started reading Riordan at 10. All his Greek stuff with Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus ... Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase so far and lately The Trials of Apollo. At a point my dad called me obsessed, cause I started reading his graphic novels too.

but he's just one of a bunch more authors ....

I tried some like original Greek things and Roman but they’re really hard to understand sometimes so I look for updated easier to get ones. Still like a lot of it though
