Soo 18 yo, girl. I had been again into a pixie haircut and I liked it a lot. But then, everyone was just like why the heck you did that and you like like a guy etc so I let my hair grow. Here I am now with my natural hair that are between straight and curly. I am skinny, so my face's skinny too (lol obviously) and that hair make me feel very bad. I don't like them. So I wanted to go and get a pixie haircut. What do you think about girls with pixie or even short haircuts? Is is true that they all look like men?

I think that different hair styles look good on different girls. You need to find a style that enhances your looks. My best advice would be to go to a professional hair stylist for advice on a hair style that would make you look better.

I say find the haircut that makes you happy and go with it. If you think you look good with long hair, great. If you like a pixie haircut, go for it. If you like how you look with half your head shaved bald and the other half in a diagonal mohawk that's dyed thirty different colors, then you do you. :)

If you like it, go for it. Don't worry if you "look like a boy" or not.

If you feel like this is what you want, you should go for it. Personally I think that girls with short haircut are really cute.

I SOOOOO want a pixie haircut! But yeah, right now people would mistake me for a boy. But... once I have boobs... I'm getting my hair chopped off!

So, here's the thing. ULTIMATELY do what YOU want! However, there are biological indicators when it comes to hair length.

Long hair for women is a biological indicator of femininity, fertility, and good health. There is a reason most old women cut their hair off, and that is to signal to society and males they are no longer fertile or sexually available.

So when you cut your hair short (HEY I'VE DONE IT) you are sending a message, whether you mean to or not, and some in society will comment on it.

Again, do what makes you happy!

Thank you for all your answers guys! I took my decision and tomorrow I'm gonna cut my hair! ✌
However, NudistFun I don't really believe it's a biological indicator. It's more like a society deal. I mean if guys wouldn't cut their hair, it would be like women's. Biology is just about the same in the hair stuff

Nature vs Nurture. We're a lot of things we donīt even realize. I mean our subconscious. Sometimes we have to decide, "Is it comfortable, Would boys like it, Would I like it to wear..." What is more important?

I remember getting a pixie cut at the end of 2016. I absolutely adored it, it was so easy to manage and made me feel less insecure. Mostly due to the cost to upkeep the style (I had no money at the time) I just let it grow out, and I get a lot of comments now saying “you look so much better with longer hair! why did you cut it off in the first place??”. Now I have enough money to get it done, I really want to get a pixie cut again but the comments are keeping me from doing it.

Conclusion, if you want to do it then go ahead and do it girl! As long as you’re completely sure it’s what you want and research different types of pixie cut to best flatter your face shape/fashion style then why not eh???

Different styles can look better on different girls. that being said keep in mind two things: one, unless something terribly tragic happens, your hair will grow back. If you try it and don't like it, it will eventually grow back. two, it is your hair. other people might like this style or that style better on you, but your the one who is living with it on your head. if you want to try it, think it will look good, any of that, then absolutely go for it.

I keep thinking of the scene in "Roman Holiday" where Audrey Hepburn goes into the barber shop...
