My friend/bf Ryan spent the night and when we came into the kitchen my dad said, "how are you two lovebirds doing this morning?". Of course we were both stunned, and he said, "It' okay we've known for a wile now". And then he just went back to what he was doing and we went ahead and got cereal. Just had to write about it. Kinda nervous, but have always known my folks would be cool with it.

Why are you nervous? Your parents are cool with it. Unless I misread the post I don't see a reason to be nervous

After those few words, some kind of slow motion "holyyy shiiit" would have triggered in my head from being stunned by the shock, such has a 'just got caught' feeling.

Yeah, kinda numb from it. But we are kind of giddy about it too. Am lucky to have such laid back folks.

I dunno, maybe is to make up for what was said about me and my cousin bunking together (non-sexually for those who don't know).

Well at least it did spare you the trouble of telling your parents.

I'd just be happy he's so laid back. I'd definitely see why you'd be nervous about it though.

I would be nervous if that happened to me, but relieved that they were so calm about it.

I'd be happy that your parents are laid back about that, mine are but not my boyfriends. So your pretty lucky.

I'd give anything for my parents to be like that. They'd probably both have a stroke and a heart attack at the same time. Don't question a good thing okay?

Better than telling your parents you're gay as a way to get out of trouble for something completely unrelated. For some reason mummy doesn't really want me to be looking at straight stuff, I think, I'm just confused because she told me she was abused by her grandad in the past and that's because he watched porn or something. I'm still "sketchy" on the details and don't really want to ask either... My mum randomly asked me again yesterday out of the blue how I am feeling since this, in very perfect timing as I've had these recent conversations with friends in college.

My friend did something to turn me on on Monday completely at random, and this just sealed it even more. Nothing a girl has ever done has turned me on but that's 2 guys who've done it now. On Tuesday I told him when he asked if I was gay as a joke when I wrote the words "Demonic Princess" in ink print. I explained it as "I prefer being with you than I do with Rosie" (the girl.....) and that told him. I then told him I have this attraction and now he's actually making things even worse for himself... He knows grabbing my cheek the way he does turns me on and he keeps doing it anyway. It's for my reactions I think, I don't care if I get made fun of if it makes other people happy too.

I then told my mum about it and I feel much happier now. It came in brilliant timing, I had a psychiatrist (I think) appointment yesterday for the first time in 18 months as I am starting to feel my weight is a problem and I can lose it but not alone. The only problem is, my dad said I didn't really strike him as gay because I'm not feminine enough (or something, I'm not sure but gay people seem to be "Out" more most times and I'm not that way) then earlier asked me if I'm sure or if I'm just confused. I've been confused for the past 4 years and I think I KNOW how I feel after all this. I know my mum accepts it, she's really happy, but I'm not so sure about my annoying dad because, well, he's annoying. :yeah::yawn::yes:

Sorry if this sounds stupid in any way, I'm very tired and going to sleep quite soon

You are definitely right on that one people will eventually accept who you are :yeah::yeah:

Same with my uncle he despises gay or bi people
But he has 2 bestfriends who are gay and he finally told me he would love me for who i am :)

Its actually a good thing in my opinion, if I was gay I would rather have my parents find out on their own in a good way and have them let me know the way they told you, they acted like it was completely normal, thats great.

Just be glad they support you. I don't know if it's really right to just say they always knew. What if you were actually straight? That would be more awkward.

To be honest i think that's a lovely way for your parents to out you in front of you. I know it might have been better for you to tell them but i think it was a humorous way for him to let you know he knows! It's certainly not like it's bad because he doesn't seem to think of you any other way. I would say props to him. :)
