Are you comfortable being in your underwear at your friends house?

For me, when I was middle school age, at any sleepovers when the weather was warm it was pretty common for all of us to strip down to just our underpants and hang around that way in the evening before bedtime. It wasn't necessarily sexual, just a "guy thing" to be close buddies that way.

The rule of thumb on sleepover ettiquitte should be "when in rome" in other words the guest should behave like the house owners. I mean within reason. if the house owners are nudists the guests shouldn't HAVE to be nude. And the owners really should be polite and ask their guest if they have a problem with their nudity.

Therefore I would never walk around a strange home in underwear if I was the only one like that. But I am most comfortable in underwear so I do that in most of my friends homes. Late at night and early in the morning. Not like after school when they could have adult guests drop in tho.

I agree 100%. Stripping down to just be in our underwear only happens when we are securely away from parents for the rest of the night. For me a typical sleepover will start out earlier in the evening when we may be with family. But later we'll "go to bed" meaning our activity moves to a private (sleepover boys only) location, almost always the room or area where we'll actually end up sleeping. Even if we don't actually turn the lights out to sleep until 1 or 2am, moving to private "boy-only space" I'd say usually happens around 10 or 11pm.

This is the way to go. I would be 100% comfortable being in my underwear personally, but I would be respectful of what they were doing, particularly walking around the house. sleeping is one thing, walking around the house, while I might be comfortable with, might not be what they do. always be respectful of the host/s.

Yeah, I am perfectly comfortable. My best friend and I live 1000 miles away but when we do get to hang out a few times a year we chill in his room usually in our underwear (and if it's too cold to be in just underwear, we are always shirtless). I think it depends on the parents. Mine are really easy going, so hanging out in underwear isn't an issue. My friends hang out or stay over and often we're hanging out in our underwear, especially in the summer.
However, some of my friend's parents are a bit more uptight and I wouldn't consider just walking around their homes in my underwear. They are mostly the type of parents that have museums for homes witrh a "Don't touch that" or "Don't go in there" attitude.

In the dorm at college, most guys seem pretty relaxed about being around each other in underwear. It's probably a lot easier there since everyone on our wing is a guy and no parents are around. But some guys (my roommate, for instance) are much more uptight and always seem to try to be covered up more.

Most guys put on some shorts over underwear after they get up or before walking down the hall to the restroom, but a few stay in just underwear walking down the hall. And I've even seen guys with morning wood still bulging who seem perfectly relaxed about letting that show. A couple guys I know wear basketball shorts or mesh shorts or sweats without any underwear when they're in their room or for sleeping. When they freeball in those, you can pretty much see everything they've got (especially if they're hard in the morning).
