Girls: Why do you shave your pubes?

I just read a recent poll on this forum and just about all the girls posted that they shave their pubes. That really surprised me, so I got curious as to why you girls want to do that?

Is that now pretty normal for girls, like keeping your armpits shaved?

Do you girls shave mostly because you have boyfriends that expect or want you shaved down there, or do you just do it because you like yourself that way?

I like the look and the feel of it.
If my partner would expect me to shave or do anything else for that matter, they'd get disappointed, because no-one tells me what to do with my body.

I know I'm not a girl, but I shave for the same reasons.

Not everybody shaves though, it is a personal preference, not an expectation.

Tbh, l copied my mum though she says when she was my age girls being completely shaved was nowhere near as common as it is now.

I've just always shaved or kept a landing strip. Recently tho I've thought about letting it grow in a bit, just to see and feel what it's like.

I agree with most everyone here. It looks and feels clean. I suppose it’s easier to deal with for sex too since you’re not worried about a bunch of often wet and matted hair

I think shaved looks kind of plain. I like to style mine in different ways whenever I get bored of having the same look. Shaving can also irritates my skin.

NOAny Girl or Boy for that matter should shave their pubes because their Boyfriend/Girlfriend expects or wants them to, YOU should only shave your pubes or any other body hair because YOU want to, Just as I shave my pubes as it is my personal choice as I just don't like having pubic hair. And for the same reason, I would NOT let my pubes grow out just because a girlfriend wanted me to do.

Personally, I like the look and feel of being shaved. The only place on my body that I want hair is on top of my head.
