I know it's dubbed as "The Worst Movie Ever Made." But I love crappy, corny B movies. I love watching Plan 9.

I saw it once. Pure trash.

Even for the year 1959, the special effects were completely dull and cheaper than cheap. With a budget of $ 60,000, you could have expected more, because I think $ 60,000 at that time was worth much more than today.

Just that, hmm, "design" of the interior of the spaceship ... retro. 1930s design. In 1959, a modern middle-class kitchen looked much more spaceship-like.

More than half of the budget was probably spent on Bela Lugosi, Tor Jonson etc.

What a waste. Unknown but not less professional actors would have been cheaper and might even have done a much better performance.

But from today's perspective, the film is something funny to watch.

Plan 9 is definitely one of the quintessential 'so bad its good' movies! I enjoy watching it every now and then. Same with Manos, though that can be a tougher watch for some.
