I have a problem! I have several good ideas I want to start working on. But how do I decided? And how do I keep from getting distracted by my other ideas?

I guess you just have to take the one you feel is right and commit to it. I'm not a fan of changing ideas midway through developing one so I'd just pick and stick to it until you're actually done working on them. You can always ask people to help you choose what they'd think is right or what they'd want to see to make your mind up or even spark new ones.

The only key would be to remain focused on one thing. Having many ideas is good but you need time to give for each idea.

Why not all ideas realize at the same time, or, much better, at least start to realize them?

This doesn't literally mean that you've to work on all of them at the same time, but can continue to work on an idea based on gut instinct and inspiration.

You also don't have to consistently start and end idea by idea, project by project. That's not how creativity works.

If you are very often inspired and because of it, you have lots of ideas in your head, it's not a bad thing to start working on all projects first, and then, when your head is emptied of those ideas, to continue to work on the project you would like to complete soonest.

Those who work creatively have to find a balance between self-discipline, inspiration and creativity.

Consistently focusing and working on one project only harms a project (idea) and creativity, as well as the opposite, if you let a project rest for a very long time, until you are inspired and motivated enough to work on it further. Especially if you are professionally creative.

Timeouts are important to free your mind for new ideas, but those times should not last too long.

Above all, it should be routine to write down or draw spontaneous inspiration as quickly as possible as notes and sketches and archive them.

This is also a great way to empty a head full of ideas.

The resulting creative archive with all the realized inspirations contained therein can then often be used as a collection of creative modules for existing, dormant or even new projects.

Worked for me so far. Even if I'm more into the drawing, painting, sculpting stuff than writing.

Pick one idea that you can make more off of than others
