I know this probably seems like a random question, but I'm curious to find out. I've talked about it with a group of guys I'm friends with at school, and I seem to be the only one that's circumcised. Has it really become so uncommon? Are many of you guys on here circumcised?

Americans ...
Oops, just to clarify... I meant people in the United States of America, not Americans in general.

Here in the UK it’s pretty unusual unless it was for medical reasons, Jewish or Muslim.
Only one of my friends was also done that I knew of and many guys I know have never even seen a circumcised dick or know anyone that’s done. So here yes it’s rare. Most of Europe is the same.
I’ve spoken to Aussies and In our age group it’s not so common now either. New Zealand I think is similar to the UK. Canada I’m not so sure of as it depends I think on where you live.
The US is the only major nation that isn’t Jewish or Islamic to practice it fairly routinely.
The very vast majority of the world believes it shouldn’t be done unless a medical necessity or personal choice.
I was done age 13 btw .
Hope that helps
It’s very common in South Korea and Philippines btw

As has been said here in the states it is more common than in Europe or Australia....There are very few uncut at my age around here, but I've noticed that there are more uncut boys in younger age groups....I think that even here in the states younger parents, well dads at least, want to let their sons make the decision when they are able to and not just hack off the 4skin at birth

I live in the USA and I'm uncut. So, I'm in the minority. Most of the guys in my PE class and most of my friend are cut. But I think that is slowly changing here and more parents aren't circumcising their sons.

I read an article recently which said c40% of boys in western US states are now circumcised with 55% nationwide. Compared to vet 90% in the 1980’s.
Only 33% of US males aged 18-29 agreed with routine circumcision this rises rapidly with older generations.
So I guess even the US is starting to realise a boy should have the right to choose.

It's uncommon in Australia where you are from but much more common here in the USA. Although the circumcision rate has really slowed down here in the last 10 years too.

i'm in the UK and uncut. I only know a couple of boys in my year that are cut. One was done in the last year or so due to a tight foreskin. It seems common in the USA. Were u cut as a baby?

Hardly anyone in the uk is cut unless religious reasons. So I’m in the minority. Unusual to hear ur in the minority in the USA with a circumcised one.

I got circumcised about 9 months ago because of health complications. But yes, since the late 1990s it is becoming increasingly uncommon. Growing up in Ontario, Canada I would say that about 20% of friends were circumcised at birth. It is still common in the US but varies a lot by region. I would imagine that Canada is more comparable to the UK, Australia, and New Zealand in this regard.

I believe they used to do it routinely at birth in australia, much like they did in america. Not anymore but probably your father was and he wanted you done the same. Certinly most aussie 40/50 year olds will be cut but your generTion mostly wont be. But yes theres definitly history of it there.

Depends where you're from, I guess. I grew up in Colombia where everyone is uncut. When I came to the US, I was the only uncut guy in my class. A couple guys even asked to look at it, WTF! I'm cut now, so nothing to look at anymore.

I was born in NSW so I know about it there. About 30-50% my age are cut, but it has been decreasing, I guess that's because Medicare has stopped paying for it.

Obviously I've been circumcised my whole life, so I don't know what it's like to not be circumcised. But I'm okay with it, I don't have to pull foreskin back to pee, it's one less thing to wash in the shower, and one less thing to get checked during physicals. You?

I got circumcised when I was 9. My dad took me because I couldn't pull it back without it's hurting.
