Tasting it at least once is pretty common and I have done that. If you're not just curious anyway by the time you know about blowjobs and the possibility of finishing in the other persons mouth you're bound to wonder what it's like.

Eating it regularly is not as common and I don't do that so I can't comment on what you eat affecting the taste but it isn't rare either and there are others on here who do so maybe they'll be able to comment on that.
