I think about this a lot when people die but as a Christian I believe I'm going to heaven when I die. What do y'all think? I have a hard time dealing with death. I can't be the only one. I'm just wondering your thoughts. I'm sorry to sound depressing. Thanks, Sarah

As a Christian myself (I realize how far from perfect I am) I believe I am going to Heaven. Not because I am somehow a good enough person, because I am not. Not because I have done enough good deeds. Not because I have given the church enough money. I believe I am going to Heaven because I have accepted God's free gift of grace which He provided for when He became the perfect Sacrifice. Through His death and resurrection, Christ made it possible for anyone to go to Heaven if they would come to Him and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
I don't fear death itself. Now there are some ways I would certainly be terrified to die, but I view death itself as a promotion. We know our time on this earth, even if it is 100+ years, is going to be short in the grand scheme of eternity. I also know I got much better things waiting for me on the other side of eternity and death itself will be a sort of promotion to it. I guess I might be afraid of how I might end up dying, but not dying itself.
I know there are going to be a lot of different answers on here, esp from those who are not believers of Jesus Christ, but that is my two cents. I do believe I am going to Heaven because I have made Jesus my Savior. Without His blood, without His gift of grace, I would be lost forever. If I did not have Jesus, then I would most certainly be terrified. But because of Christ, I have hope and as much as I like my life, the other side of eternity is something I look forward to even more.

Haha, we would all like to think that we'd be going to heaven. I like to think the best heaven is here on Earth. You just need to know how to navigate through it is all.

As an atheist, I don't believe in heaven or hell.

This is a great question. Although, I think the more important question is why. Do you think that you're going to heaven because you believe in Go or because you are a morally good person.
Personally, I think I'm going to heaven because despite my short comings I am a good person.

I'm not a Christian, but I'm descended from Christians and raised humanistisch, which, after all, somehow is based on Christian culture.
I am not a Christian, but I am descended from Christians and educated humanistsch, which, after all, in spite of everything to the Christian culture - even if the parents are atheists.
So I don't believe, but I think, in an agnostic way, that it doesn't matter much whether or not there is any continuation existence after of our bodily death. Cause it will be a very different existence then.
However, the idea of spending eternity in a paradise or such seems like the purest Stoic hell. Eternal stagnant catatonia.
So when God calls "Liam, come!" I'll probably answer, "Oh, I like it pretty much here, but if I can visit you from time to time, that would be nice."
But those who really believe in living on after death, should not be afraid of death. Anxiety in this case is an irrational state and probably shows more how much one doubts one's own faith ... it is to be hoped that one does not despair of it.
Whether one lives on after death or whether ones life and what one was extinguishes with death, both versions have one thing in common: a consoling end, since one is redeemed from life after death.
And I mean "comforting" even if someone, like me, can enjoy life to the fullest, despite some misfortunities.

I do not believe in Heaven.
However, I believe we should be kind to each other and make our everyday life as heavenly as possible.

If there's a heaven, then I'm going to hell probably :P

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today...

Well heaven is not a real place, but even if it was real doesn't matter since apparently God forgives everything.

I don't know if heaven exists. It would be awesome if it did tho. But being a good person and being nice to people is good no matter what.
