So...
Three things you should know about me:
1.I'm gay.
2.I'm lonely.
3.I'm the founder of a new religion.
Eh, wot?
Yup. It's called the Dream. It's also not what you think. It's not a cult or some New Age thing. It's compatible with science, and I think teens who, like me a few years ago, are depressed about the state of the world and long for something to believe in, would be especially attracted to it. If you want to know more, ask or message me, and I'll try to explain. I'd love to make converts! :P
But making friends is more important.
The last time I talked to someone my own age in person is when I was eleven. I'm sixteen now.
'Nuff said.
Love and light.

It's so cool that people are interested! But it's hard to explain, I have a very disorganized mind...
Have you ever had that feeling that there's something... Else? That there's some mysterious quality or meaning, some amazing, indescribable thing beyond anything you experience? Some people have that feeling and they go traveling to find it, like it's a place somewhere out there. They may find many glorious things, even a home for themselves, but they never find this... Mystery. Others think that they are lonely, and go out and look for love, think that that's the mysterious otherworldly thing they're looking for. They may find it,they may be happy with what they find, and if they're lucky their mate may share this longing, May understand what they're feeling - but they still feel it, that mystery.
Still others experience the Mystery as curiosity, a desire for knowledge, or spirituality, a longing to come closer to some spiritual dimension, or a desire for beauty, artistic expression, or maybe the freedom to be themselves. All desires are created by longing for the Mystery behind everything - that inexpressible, indefinable Meaning behind life and reality - but none of them satisfy it. Ever. Mystery has created this world, for everything that any living creature has ever done - especially humans - has been propelled by this, this Feeling.
Children feel it more than most, but they are close to it, to that sense of magic behind and within everything, but during puberty, it begins to fade as reason replaces faith and the "real world" gets in the way of the Dream, the Mystery that makes all the meaning in the world. They begin to long to know, to find this ineffable Thing that lies behind everything, just out of site. Most lose this Feeling over time, this longing to know the reAl meaning of life. Others become satisfied with one of the side attractions along this Path, thinking they've found what they were looking for. But some, some few, never lose the Feeling, never get seduced by the lesser meanings that live in the world - never cease to Dream. There has to be something more, they tell themselves. We tell ourselves. And that longing, that restlessness, is never satiated, and never goes away.
But eventually, they realize: maybe the longing is the Thing. Maybe the search, the endless Path towards - what? - maybe that IS the Dream they are seeking. After all, this insane dream, this longing, it has created who they are, it is behind their every thought, impulse, action. It is even at the restless heart of Life itself, the absurd force that defies expectations and dares to live for no reason other than just because - living only tor the hope of - Something Else.
If you understand - if you have had this experience, this dissatisfaction with every explanation, every attempt to say "this is it, there is nothing more," if you have the restless urge toward the Mystery, the sacred unknowable force behind, beside, and within everything - even your very own soul - if you know how it is to walk this Path, then you are a Dreamer, like me. We shall never understand, we cannot have faith in the smallminded superstitions that claim to be it, the Thing we are seeking - for It shall never be found, and that is exactly why we must continue to search. This impossible Dream is really the truth behind all of life.
That is the basis. The mystery is the heart of the Dream, the seed from which it all grows. Everything comes back to that, sooner or later. This is not a path of satisfaction, or of finalities. It shall never, can never, end. Which is exactly why it is the only path worth travelling.
Thank you.
