i masturbate way longer than 15 minutes, usually around 30 minutes to an hour each time. is that bad news for when I have sex? I dont want to take an eternity... do people usually last shorter during sex than jacking off? Im afraid I wont be able to finish

Never count time, if it's about physical and emotional bonding. The purely technical sexual act often lasts not very long, it's just a glimpse of the whole sexual intercourse, the physical and emotional interaction, however, often lasts (felt) much longer. And imo just that really counts.

Sex is completely different to jerking off. It feels much better, so the chances of you last 15 minutes on your last time aren't high.

... I'm afraid I wont be able to finish
My first time having sex with a girl did not go well at all, and for a number of reasons that I won't get into. But one of the big reasons was that I got way too preoccupied thinking about "my performance" and what was expected of me, etc. What ended up happening was that I started losing my erection and ended up very embarrassingly not being able to finish.
So my advice is, for your first time wait until you are with a girl that you both very much care for each other, and you are in a safe and relaxed environment and protected from pregnancy, and then just be relaxed and enjoy it. Don't worry if you'll cum too quick or take too long to cum. You are not performing, you are loving each other.

This is a really good answer, Scott.

Lasting longer for both partners is
adding to the pleasure of lovemaking
going slow and not speeding it up. :D

I agree with this. Also the intense part of sex will make your time last less too.

I've not had sex myself yet (unfortunately!). Time is probably not an important part of it. So often boys are worried about cumming too quick! So often we could up worrying about so many things that then it doesn't become the pleasure sex should be. It doesn't matter if it's with another boy or girl. Communicate with your partner. Find what's pleasurable - for both of you. If it hurts, stop and change it. Live in the moment and enjoy it when it happens

These are all true. Very little correlation between the two things. Sex is better and more intense so it has the potential to last must shorter than jacking off

This is a perfect way to describe the emotional side of things.

As someone who really doesn't finish that well, sex is completely different from masturbation. Some people will last longer, some will be shorter. You have to get into that scenario to tell. The best way to do it is let go of your worries, which will be the things that keep you from finishing with your partner.

I agree, although there all good answers, that’s the best one imo

It's usually shorter than what you jerk off as so 10 minutes isn't considered forever but I love the answer so much about time doesn't matter it's the passion. Amazingly written!
