Right now, I don't see a reason I exist. I have friends at school, but they all are happy, relationships, etc. and I feel like I'm worthless. Every time I think of something happy, I somehow make it sad. I have had uncontrollable crying th last couple days. It seems nothing makes me happy anymore. Is there something wrong with me?

No, you're just a teen. If it's going for a long time, try to rethink your vision, your lifestyle...

Acually no one has a reason to exist. We make the reason to exist. It's one of the secrets of life.

You don't have anything wrong with you. A lot of the time, doing something I enjoy makes me happy. Enrolling myself in a karate dojo a little over two years ago really helped me boost my self confidence. I still practice karate today and when I'm in the class, I forget about all the problems in my life. It might be beneficial to you, so I'd recommend joining a martial arts school. Karate also teaches respect, so you won't have any issues there. I've met a few friends there, and I think you will, too.

Nope there is nothing wrong with you. Only over thinking things. I can relate to your situation as I use to always see people so happy as if they have no problems while I'm being left behind, being depressed. Try attending some outdoor activities of indoor that you enjoy. I worked for me and I got some new friends too.

I agree that there's "nothing wrong with you" in the sense that you're not experiencing something weird that no one else experiences- but you might be depressed. Have you ever been to therapy before?

Rest assured, one way or another, you'll find your purpose soon enough. I think it's a pretty common for teenagers to feel worthless, like they don't have a reason to exist. Teenagerdom is tough and confusing.

Teenage years are the years you're most susceptible to depression

That's really misleading- it could just be puberty, but it could also be depression. If it IS depression, he absolutely should not ignore it.

Agreed. There's a lot that goes into depression, and it can happen for a TON of different reasons and come in a TON of different forms, and when you're hormonal, and everything is changing so fast around you, sometimes it's hard to NOT be depressed. In fact, I think a good percentage of teenagers go through some form or another of depression for a period of time.

Depression is kind of like cancer in the fact that it can get better, and then come back. That's the way it is for me. It's called "remission", and it's kind of awful, because you know that you're probably going to end up right back where you were again. I think most teenagers usually have their battle, get through with it, and move on, but it's really important to get help if it's a lasting, recurring thing.

No-one is ever worthless, we all will find someone that loves us for who we are, we got to keep going, discover secrets, and change attitude to how we see things, I don't have many friends at school. About relationships, you will find someone right one day, don't put your self down that you have no-one. When you have no-one it just gives you a better opportunity to find someone that will make you happy.
