How are physicals done in america with the whole genitalia exam and what age is it done.

They normally just feel around in your nutsack for hernias tell you to cough. They’ve been doing it for as long as I could remember

They also check your balls for any lumps. And my doctor will examine the shaft too.

My doctor does it really quick - he can just look and the whole thing takes less than two seconds.

I think I was maybe 10 or 11 when I had my first full physical. The genital exam includes going under your nuts and up to check for a hernia. They gently check your nuts for lumps or abnormalities. Also the penis. In my case too since I am uncut they retract the foreskin and check the glans and inside of the foreskin. It's all no big deal.

It's does not take long at all the doctor will just feel around each ball to make sure their are no bumps and just checks to make sure everything is fine

Mine doesn't take very long. He checks for a hernia (the turn your head and cough bit). Then he feels each ball for lumps/problems. Then he feels my penis, the shaft & the head, and looks in the pee hole. That's about it. Takes about 2-3 minutes at the most.

Had my first one when I was 12. Just check for hernia and for any lumps on my balls.

My doctor had me get naked at the start of the exam. When it came time to do the genital exam, I had an erection. She would feel my penis and then she took my balls and rolled them in her fingers. She then had me spread open my legs and she looked at my anus. She also had me pee into a cup. She was in the room while I did that. Overall it was not really emberassing.

Got me to undress to my undershirt, briefs and socks, after the history blah blah, chest exam etc got me to lie down, pulled my undies to my knees, felt my scrotum and penis, and asked me to turn over parted my butt cheeks and looked at my anus.(this is I think to asses hair level as he said my hair grwoth, pubes, pits etc are lagging for my age)

Same here. In my opinion they are rather intrusive. I understand that it's to make sure you're healthy, but I'd only ever go to the doctor if absolutly necessary.

Age usually depends maybe like 13 let's say but they just feel around for any bumps and stuff that shouldn't be there

It will normally take about 2-3 min, they will have you get strip down to your underwear and put a gown on and have you parents stay out. The doctor then had me take off the gown when he came in. He did the whole physical like this except the genital part where I removed my under wear. For the genital part he just checked my penis head, shaft and the pee hole, and he also checked my balls. After that i got dressed and i was done

In England I’ve had something a little similiar when I first started secondary school had to pee and in a cup and when I was really little I had my balls felt when I started ks2 that’s like 7 or 8 I think but we never have that whole physical exam
