Hello,
Next week a friend of mine is turning 17. She and i have been becoming a lot closer over the last period of time and i would really like to give her something for her birthday that she will remember. Something original that wil make her happy.
She is a kind of person who, once you know her, is a very kind kind and considerate person. She tends to tell people exactly what she thinks of them and she is quite picky in her friend choice. She loves themeparks and movies.
Please keep in mind that i am of course on a budget (€15 is about my limit) it doesnt have to be something big, just something memorable which is different from what others might give her.
Thanks a lot for thinking with me! :)

A gift certificate to an amusement park or movie.
A small bouquet of flowers-a small stuffed animal
like a teddy bear-a heart pendant. A nice birthday
card also.

Pack a picnic and take her out for lunch.

do you have many photos of the two of you? You could get a nice frame from a craft store and use it for a photo of you two....or just create your own little photo booklet, and put various photos in there, maybe not even of just the two of you...but things she likes.

Thanks a lot to all of you! I think this helps me out quite a bit :)
Of course I am still open to more ideas so let them flow!

This ^^
That’s exactly what I give my parents every year for Christmas. A photo album with pictures of us and stuff we’ve done and places we went over the past year
And you can keep doing the same thing each year and then it becomes like a new chapter in your lives together.

I’m starting my 4th album already for next year

If you want something memorable, why not create a memory? Take her somewhere or do something romantic that you know she would like. The picnic idea sounds good although depending on the climate where you live that could be complicated this time of year. But do something in that neighbourhood. Let us know what you decide.

Actually i like that idea (make a memory). Just for a wide range of choices :), do you guys have any more ideas for a fun day to enjoy together with her? By the way were not a couple ;) she's a friend. Picnic is indeed not so fit for this time of the year in the Netherlands. Any original ideas for a day out? :)

I honestly think the best gift for her based on your description would be something hand made and above all giving her your complete day. Take her out somewhere and have lots of fun. Gifts no matter how expensive will go waste after several months to years but she can cherish those memories forever.

Sometimes, showing you're there is all that's needed.
