I’m 15. I’m 5’11 and 220 pounds. I have a slightly big stomach. What would you consider this? Fat, obese, etc? Am I huge? Also, does being fat slow down puberty?

Calculate your bmi by just googling bmi. You enter your height and weight and it will calculate it for you.

I would say that you are obese. Being overweight has nothing to do with puberty. I would suggest seeing your doctor for help on weight loss and dietary and physical activities to lose weight and body fat and gain muscle.

Usually during puberty a teen loses baby fat
and gains muscles. U r huge but what shape
is ur body in. Do u consider urself obese or r
u muscular? There is a difference in 220lbs.
If u r obese then its time for u to stick to a
diet and exercise. I don't think being fat
slows down puberty but it might cause
other probs. :what:

The average age of puberty has gone down over the years. Some experts actually believe there's a link to kids being heavier now and the earlier onset of puberty

I too am 5'11''....Used to be really skinny at just 105 pounds....in the last 3 yrs gone a bit chubby....Now I'm 160 pounds....I was never muscular....so its all fat...(Not that I care)
So the point is it all depends on your body type..If you were skinny like me and gained suddenly its likely you are worse off that if you were big to begin with.

You are a bit too heavy for your age and height. However, I don't think that you are grossly over weight. I would not consider you obese.

I was big to begin with. I’m a big guy and I have muscle. But most of my weight is fat.
