So, this weekend I am going to a hotel, and I am most likely am going to stay in the same hotel room with my grandpa. I like to wear underwear to bed, but I am kinda nervous about that because I don't know how he will react. I am worried I might get a boner and he will tell my mom or react negatively, or something else. Would you guys wear underwear around your grand parents?

My grandparents see me in my underwear all the time. They used to change my diapers. Am their child's child. Men know boys get boners, no secret to them. If my grandpa told my mom he saw me get a boner she would look at him like he was crazy. Would be like saying he saw my nose.
"Oh my god, I saw his nose! He has a nose!!"

Well, my grandpa died before I was born. So I can't give an anecdote of the situation,
Certainly, he understands that guys our age do get boners very often. He was once a teenage too. ;)

The only person I don't hide from is my brother... I don't talk to my parents or granparents as much as a lot of people because of random emotional issues I don't understand or properly know the cause of. My granparents come over to my house, I stay upstairs until they leave. I feel no concept of family at all so my parents would only ever put me in a room with either the 4 of us or just me and my brother which we've had to do more recently because once everyone in the family is over 16 you can't take "family rooms" in hotel/travelodge which is what we normally stay in... The most I ever go to near anyone is just wearing a top and boxers, I don't wear trousers and socks when I can avoid it :|

As for this question.. like people have said, everyone gets boners and surely he knows that. But I'm not too sure on the underwear thing, I just know I wouldn't

Your grandpa is one of the safest persons you could be around. In his day boys were a lot more open with their nudity like school showers and skinny dipping. Your grandpa will think you sleeping in only underwear as very normal. He will notice it much more if you are shy and wear PJ's. He will also think it very normal if you get a boner. Bet he has had a few in his lifetime. I assure you he will not tell your parents.
