I know some people have masturbation guilt anyway. But do any of you have more guilt during religious holidays if you're religious? Did you have sex or masturbate Christmas Eve? Will you on Christmas?

I don't have much masturbation guilt. I have taught myself to have none since I know I personally couldn't go without it so why torture myself with guilt. Plus masturbation is amazing. Same with sex. I would prefer to wait till marriage but just know it's not viable. And again it's amazing.

As for Christmas/Easter holidays I have in the past tried to go a day without masturbation. Sometimes succeeding and sometimes not.

I barely had time to get a quickie in with my gf today and am VERY horny atm so will likely masturbate before bed. Christmas I doubt my gf and I will get a chance to have sex and am sure I'll masturbate. I am just too horny to give fucks about guilt atm. Too much stress and horniness to not.

For the record, I'm not suggesting people should try not to masturbate or are wrong if they masturbate on Christmas. Like I said I plan to and will have sex with my gf if possible. Sex is even more of a sure thing time permitting cuz it's about pleasing her and being with her romantically. But imo a person COULD go 24 hours without masturbating IF they were religious and wanted to sacrifice in honor of their religion. But not many people are very religious probably. And even if you are masturbation probably doesn't affect it. I was just curious if I was the only person who abstained in PAST holidays. Tbh the word guilt was probably the wrong word. Sacrifice is probably better.

I know a lot ... but not if they feel guilty. Never spoke with friends about masturbating, cause it's imo a private thing that just belongs to each of'em. I am not really religious and I have not abstained for any kind of religious day including Christmas.

I think the whole thing about keeping a day special for religious reasons comes from the Jewish observance of the Sabbath which carried over into Christianity. But that has a practical value - people take a break from working, studying etc. to avoid becoming exhausted, to allow time for reflection and to spend time with family reinforcing social connections. In other words it is about time to rejuvenate.

Given how good having an orgasm is trying to abstain from that is likely to have the opposite effect and leave you edgy and less likely to enjoy the time with family etc. so I say indulge and give yourself an extra present.

Christmas isn't really a religious holiday anymore, religion is leaving this holiday almost as quick as it over took it. Even if it is still a religious holiday for some people Jesus won't be more pissed at you for masturbating or having sex on his ''birthday'' than on any other day.

It's part of life and our lives, and to me it's a natural thing to do, especially for teens who are not having sex yet. Any day is a good as another in my book, whether it's a holiday, school day, special day, religious day, whatever. Sure, there are moments on any day when it's not appropriate, for example during the family dinner, during a funeral, or during a religious ceremony, etc, but that's obvious.

i learned to not feel guilt anytime i masturbated, Masturbation is good for you and you should never feel guilt. i've masturbated on easter holidays and xmas before, and i end up feeling like any other day (i do celebrate those holidays btw)
