So it turns out there is ample proof of milk contributing to acne in teenagers. I can personally atesf to this, because when i started drinking milk more often is when I really got acne. Milk is very healthy though, so it’s definetly worth drinking but just know that Milk directly causes acne due to the otherwise benevolent hormones in it.

I think that the hormones in milk and
dairy products can cause a breakout in
acne but it isn't proven. If u have probs
its best to talk to ur doctor. If u find out
that it does flair up ur skin I would limit
dairy products.

Well they have also said that chocolate can cause a breakout of acne too. I really think that it's just oils and particles of dead skin or something similar.

I've heard of this before. Most ppl have some type of a reacton to dairy products. Also, over eating carbohydrates can also cause an increase in acne.

I am not so sure about the 'healthy' part.

A doctor told me years ago to not drink milk, that a bit was okay but not a lot. Because I like cheese (and we cook with it often), that is my only real dairy. I do not drink milk. According the my doctor at the time, lots of dairy products have been linked to some cognitive/collateral issues in people who are susceptible to them (not in everyone). People with ADHD or on the ASD spectrum seem to be two of those groups affected.

To answer the acne question: I have never had a lot of problem with acne. But not having had much milk, perhaps that is why.

I still support the consumption of milk, those who drink milk are known to be taller. It’s the greaest natural source of calcium and is a lot easier to eat than vegetables! So keep drinking.

I used to drink quite a lot of milk as a kid and considering my height that getting taller part is a myth I guess since I am the shortest in my class and all.
I never had problems with acne so I can't say whether there would be a connection or not.

The older I get the less milk I drink. I eat cheese and some other dairy products but hardly ever drink milk anymore. I haven't seen any changes in my health, though.

It's like anything. Too much can be bad for you. The Calcium is good. Buy dairy intolerances can be quite common!

lol... with the amount of milk I drink i guess my face should be a pimple and I should be 7' tall

not uncommon for me to drink just under 1/2 gallon per day

i know everyone's bodies react differently to different things but I think a good quality milk is as safe as can be as long as your body isn't intolerant to dairy

It is probably the hormones in the milk but I wouldn't worry about it

I drink milk every day. I drink it with cereal in the morning and then sometimes I drink a glass of milk with cookies or cake after I get home from school. I also like chocolate milk, usually at night. I don't have any acne.
