So I’m from the UK and circumcision here is really rare.

I got circumcised when I was like 6/7 cos my mum wanted it to be taken off coz I think she thought I had too much foreskin but I’m too embarrassed to ask why she had me circumcised

I’m just wondering what people’s experiences where growing up
In a place where they were in the minority of being cut/uncut.

I used to try to hide it in the changing rooms when I was younger coz I knew mine was different. When one of the other boys noticed (I’m cut tight so even soft it’s obvious I have 0 foreskin) they used to take the piss. Did everyone where they were in the minority have the same sort of thing n how did you find out you were different?

I live in Ontario, Canada and I would say that about 20-30% of teens are circumcised. However, it was the norm to be if you were born before the late 1990's.

I find it very unusual that your mother wanted to get you circumcised as 6 yr old for no apparent reason. I've never met anyone with that story.

Where I am we guys that are uncut are in the minority. My class was a bit unusual and it was about 50/50 for cut and uncut. But in this part of Minnesota there are more cut than uncut but there are still a good amount of us uncut guys. I would say that the majority of my friends are uncut by coincidence.

I am of Indian descent, and well most of them we are uncut like myself, but in certain religions of Indians such as Islam, and Christainity. Foreskins are much more common. It depends on the ethnicity, and culture, plus religion.

Hi, I live in UK too, I was circumsized at 12, at first I was afraid too of what other people would say, but I didn't get hassled for it, some friends did asked me why, but not mockery, so dont worry ;)

Hi, i am also from England, UK, I once got laughed at in the Showers in PE once, nearly the whole of the class were laughing, i just said "I least i have a dick and i am not a dick" and it never happened again, but other than that once incident i have never had anyone criticise me for my circumcision!

When I was 16 and my parents decided to immigrate to Israel, I discovered that I am only uncut in my class. I didn't get hassled for it, but everyone was looked at my penis. Also I had slight phimosys, so finally, I decided to get circumcision.

If it's really a problem, you can talk to your parents and your doctor. Also you can try to leave your glans exposed for some time (fix your foreskin in "open position").

I live in the states, and hardly anyone is uncut. Almost everyone is circumcised. It’s awkward being uncut in a changing room of boys who have larger dicks and foreskin. My parents didn’t have me or my 2 brothers circumcised either

I remember when I was little sharing this room with someone who was cut I think for his religion (islam) and when we all got dressed he got so angry that we weren’t cut he was the minority and he got grumpy calling us dirty snd that we let sin in and we all went home thinking we were going to Islam he’ll cuase we didn’t pray every day or speak Arabic or be circumcised so u don’t have to be in the minority to be made fun of haha 😂

In the US, where I live, people's foreskin get cut off like immediately after birth. I was born out of the US so this wasn't that case for me.

I'm uncut and that is the majority here in the UK but when I noticed two cut boys in gym class the first year of secondary school I certainly didn't make fun of them and I didn't hear anyone else doing so. To do so is just puerile and inconsiderate.

We are all individuals - at some point we be able to say "this is just the way I am" rather than everyone trying to be the same.
