I loved Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle but it had no chance against 12 Years a Slave. That movie was breath taking. The second choice to 12 Years would have been Gravity and even that wasn't close to 12 Years.

You need to go have a look at 12 Years a Slave. As cool as American Hustle is, 12 Years a Slave was an amazing film and completely deserved Best Picture.

Skipped through it, it didn't really hold my attention. I know a few extras and the woman who plays one of the smaller parts, the nurse or something, I forget, (it was filmed near me) and I love JLaw so I kept skipping through to the end.
