Thoughts on porn?

Not sure if this is considered an appropriate post or not. If it isn't, then my apologies.
But anywho, we all know it exists. And I know that a lot of teens have seen it/watch it. And I also know that people have different views on it and I've always wanted to ask but felt it'd be weird to bring up to my friends, so I want to ask here. What do you think about porn? I don't want to know if you watch it or don't watch it but just your general thoughts. It's a joke at my school and in my part of the world, but people don't really express their feelings about it and I'm curious.

Don’t watch but have done once or twice but can see it causing probable for teens watching it as it can make especially us guys worrying about penis size and if our is big enough as they are sometimes a lot bigger in porn

I think its is normal curiosity for a teenager to want to watch some porn and figure out your likes and dislikes. I think it is also normal to talk about it with good trusted friends, it can give you some perspective and other opinions on things you have seen and maybe like or not.

I try to stay away from porn because it portrays an awful representation of how people should look like or be when it comes to sex. There have been several situations where I'd work so hard to get my body to look like those pornstars that it mentally fucks me up. Not only that but it makes me really insecure. No shame to anyone who watches, it's just not my thing.

I think people need to understand that it’s not always realistic but there’s nothing wrong with watching it in my opinion. Plus there are things that can be learned and it’s a healthy way to get some inspiration.

I so agree with you. Porn doesn't turn me on, and it looks so fake. I haven't seen The Lover, but some sexual scenes in movies where it is done much more realistic or understated, is much better and they generally do turn me on.

Ok, we're not fooling anybody here. It's fun and hot to watch, but at the end of the day it's just like any movie: FAKE. It's very shitty, at least for me, and to a lot of people too, because it sets fake expectations of what sex is going to be like. I've known this for a long while now, but that hasn't stopped me from watching it lol. That's pretty much it, it makes a fake fantasy of what you think could be real some day

It serves it purpose and gets people off and that's the main thing. I don't really watch much of it because it just isn't for me but if people like it then they have the right to watch it. In terms of realism, it's down to the audience to realise that they should never attempt to emulate porn. We cn't realistically ask every porn studio and amateur creator to put a warning at the start of every video to remind viewers not to try and copy it because it ruins the atmosphere and mood they attempt to create with the video.
