So we have our usual highschool basketball camp and we take a bus up town and its a 3 day thing where we stay there but the issue came up after the showers
To explain the showers they are communal.
The next day I had some teammates come up and tell me I had a bush and got some criticism for it, I literally didn't even know what a bush was till someone explained it to me, and word spread which kinda caught me off guard
So after I got home from camp I find out its pretty common to shave pubes and just cause I just left it natural I got called out for it. Now I am conflicted on what I should do, I feel Peer Pressured now to shave them in a way
Any tips

Do which ever makes you feel the most comfortable. A lot of people keep it and a lot of people trim/shave. So if you don't really want to shave/trim it than just keep it as it is, who cares what others think about it

I totally agree with Alisha, It's your body your choice and you should NEVER give into peer pressure.

Ur basketball team have a "no bush"
rule? Y r they so interested in ur pubes.
Unless it bothers u or makes u play
badly that they seem to b bullying u-u
can go along with them and shave But
its ur body and u have a right to b the
way u r most comfortable looking and
feeling. What do the other guys do?
Next time if they question u tell them
a little bush adds to the value of the
property.

I'd do what I'm comfortable with, so if you don't want to shave them, don't. They're your pubes to do with what you please. If you want to, give shaving or trimming a go and see if you like it.

I have never shaved mine. It was a sign of growing up, when you started to grow some at my school. We had to showering together in 6th grade

I've shaved once and ended up all itchy. It's personal choice. There nothing wrong either way

You should do what you feel is best or right for you. Don't let your peers run your life and make decisions for you. It's your body and your pubes. I always was kind of a rebel and you can see by my picture I love to change hair colors and I am kind of a goth emo also. So be who and what you want to be.

You didn't know some people shaved? That surprises me. It also surprises me that you were the only one that wasn't smooth. Often it's the other way around. If anything I would've guess 11 guys with hair and one smooth guy. Most people here trim. So out of 12 guys it would actually most likely be 8 trim, one natural bush, one smooth, and 2 trimmed so close it's like a 5o'clock shadow.
But anyways, it would've been best if you had a comeback atm, but it's too late. Like others said, do whatever you like. Don't ever succumb to peer pressure. And if they continue to give you a hard time just say something like dude chill out about my pubes man. Why do my pubes even matter to you. Say pubes a ton and they should back off lol

Do whatever you feel comfortable. Just cause all the other guys on the team shave doesn't mean you have to. Why should they even care what your crotch looks like?

Do what makes you most comfortable, both mentally but also physically. You could trim yours with scissors or an electric razor to maintain what you want out of your body and appearance but not be worth making fun of for it. Sorry you have to deal with that.

Yes, this is peer pressure. So you've lived with them growing natural and now you are trying shaved. Now you can decide which you prefer. Although, before you make that decision I would recommend that you try shaving one more time because sometimes the first time is painful because your skin is so sensitive.

Seems strange that your teammates would be so focused on your pubic hair, but in any case I'd do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable.

I don't have any pubes yet but I never heard of a rule for basketball players shaving. It is very common for swimmers.
