Tanner stages at doctor

Has anyone’s doctor done the tanner stage assessment on them to figure out where in puberty they are? Mine has not and I doubt she will in the future.

you get five minutes with your doctor. theyre not going to waste time measuring your dick and balls for you. school yourself, son.

Some people have longer exams. I have heard of this before. I just want to see if it has been done to anyone here.

Never heard of such. The tanner stages is really for predictions only. As many people grow at different rates and can have the stages a bit out of order, it is really hard to get an accurate result.

They probably know just from examining you. You could ask the next time you have a physical.

The doctor has never told me that he is examining me in relation to the Tanner stages. But he looks at and/or feels all the relevant parts so he probably makes notes about what stage I'm at just from what he examines.

Doctor has never examined me for that. I go to a regular clinic like every 3 months but the nurse hasn't ever done anything except ask about periods. I suppose she could work it out if she needed to but I don't think she actually needs to.

Nope, and I'm not sure a dr would do that unless there was some reason to think something was wrong

I've had my body examined in the normal course of a physical health exam and checkup but never had the tanner scale brought into the equation.

I have gotten several physicals since I started puberty. My doc has never spoken to me about any Tanner assessment. I could ask him the next time I see him.

This is actually pretty interiesting. I had an exam recently and I just got the form and on it it said my tanner stage.

I'm having a seriously hard time believing this. So a female doctor measures your erect penis? And while it's soft too? If this were true, I wonder how many parents might wonder why a female doctor gets their 13 year old son hard to measure his dick? What would be the medical reason to do that? And so, how many female doctors would take that chance for no real reason?

Wouldn't any test be done on an exception basis, if something abnormal was suspected. I mean, does anybody not eventually get thru puberty, perhaps at different rates of progression?

Also I don't understand. In a couple of earlier posts, you said your mom was your pediatrician. And she did your check ups. Was she the one who did this?

I asked my doctor what stage I was in, so she had me strip down naked. After a little examination of my vagina and breasts, she said I was in stage 2.
