There's this boy that I like and I want to get to know him more. I don't know how to be assertive and ask him to hang out with me outside of school.

I hope there will be good replies to this one. I am not in the dating game yet, but I hope to read some opinions about how a girl makes the first move to a boy she likes. I know I don't have the confidence to do it in a direct way, like I don't think I can just go to a boy and ask him to go out with me. Some pointers on indirect ways could be handy. :-)

Being a guy, think I have some knowledge on what some guys would like to hear from a girl to hang out

What I don’t know I said if you guys actually know each other or not, might make a difference

But anyways Guys are pretty straight forward cut to the chase kinda species. I’d just walk up and say “hey (inset name here’s) what’s going on? Wanna grab a coffee or something?”

Probably best when he’s alone, when you’re pretty sure he’s not got something planned or something. That way if he says no, and you know he said not busy, then he may not be interested.

If you don’t know him, I’d find some kinda common interest you both have. And strike up a conversation on that topic. Like if he’s plays a sport, ask him something about that sport. Guys like to talk about themselves and stuff they do. So if you ask him about something like that it’ll be easier for him to wana talk and hang out

The rest is chemistry and nature

Since in say u r not assertive then I
guess u just cant go right up to him
and ask him to hang. If u did ask him
u probably would b nervous and turn
him off. I would say b friendly with
him and get to know him better. See
what stuff he is interested in-sports-
music-school activities and bring it up.
If he is interested then u can ask him
if he would like to go out sometime for a
soda or lunch and c where it goes from
there.

Try talking to him since he might just be shy to talk to you anyways.
