I think my vagina is "blocked"?

Okay so I've been trying to insert tampons and then I have tried to insert my fingers inside but what I feel is like something blocking off the hole. It feels like skin and it's very thick. Like a wall. I've looked down there with a mirror and I found that my hole IS blocked, I can't see anything but pink flesh (I assume is what it is). I've looked on the internet and discovered hymens and such. And that some hymens completely block off the vagina, right? But I have regular flows during my period so if my hole was completely blocked off then I couldn't bleed, right?
Has anyone had this or currently has this issue? I'm just very confused and concerned.

if your period blood is indeed flowing out, then you have nothing to worry about. that means there is a hole or opening somewhere in your hymen large enough for it to exit.

I'm not sure that it is your hymen thats blocking the way, I may be wrong but I was told that our hymen is thin and can be broken easily, its a little deeper inside us and you can't really see it.
Maybe its the angle that your trying to put it in is wrong, when I use a tampon (when i go swimming) i usually go into the bathroom and put one foot on the side of the bath and kinda lean forward a little then put the little tube in the right spot and angle the top forward a little and push the smaller tube so the tampon goes in at the right angle.
Also if you don't get the angle right it can hurt lots too.

I have a similar problem, but mine is not caused by birth defect. But my pussy was sewn shut as part of religious practice. My labia, clitoris etc were removed when I was only 3 years old. My pussy hole is so narrow it's only as wide as a match stick. During periods the pain is horrible. Peeing is also very difficult and it takes 15-20 mins to relieve my bladder. My mom says it's to maintain purity until marriage. But I hate this thing done to me.

You might have a small hymen opening that allows regular flows but isn't big enough for anything to go in. Ask your gyno about it. My Dr told me that I have a small hymen opening although I have not had my period yet. If it doesn't open by itself it can be corrected with minor surgery.

As others have said the hymen is really only a problem if it stops your periods or prevents you from having sex comfortably (or at all).
